Grace believed that being the Mayfair Milken was a better life than other opportunities for a poor girl in the streets of London. She only stole to survive and she took care of those she counted as friends. She was quite surprised to find that Sir Wesley was ingenious enough to capture her.
The two unlikely characters come together to stop a thief from stealing the Queen's prize diamond during the Great Exhibition at the Crystal Palace. The rest of the story is a mixture of steam punk imaginings and thievery and the realization Grace and Wesley have developed feelings that both know cannot be acted upon.
I highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys steampunk, Victorian England, the sweet romance of two people stuck in the restrictive hold of class and seeing now way to cross those lines to be together. The author has done a superb job of brings these characters to life, each in their own societal trappings. It is a well written story without grammatical errors with a very fulfilling HEA.
