This book was a lot more suspenseful than the other two. It had me guessing (wrong) until the end. Loads of twists and turns to enjoy...Love it!
In my opinion Her Stolen Past is the best book in the series. It can stand alone, but I would suggest reading the whole series so you will get to know all the main characters' stories.
Brandon and Sonya are great characters. I could relate to both of them.
Sonya is a strong and caring woman who is gentle with Brandon. Sonya's life has just been turned upside down, and admits she some times questions if she has enough faith in God to get her through difficult times.
Brandon has deep hurts and at times can be ruled by his past. His lessons in this book are to stop generalizing, forgiveness of past wrongs, and to make his way back to God. It is not that he does not believe, he needs to reconnect with God.
As always I do enjoy when the characters from the previous books make appearances. They do in this book.
The theme that we need to trust God with our whole being no matter what is or has happened in our lives was well done. Also, the reminder that God loves us and is in control. Feelings can be faulty. Anything that is trust -worthy and good comes from God. There is also the forgiveness element that is so crucial as the series comes to the end.
Secrets that turned deadly, when she finds, a birth certificate in her Mother’s home. You wonder why they hadn’t told her, as she searches,
murder, and threats on her life begin. Plot and the tension around her, carries to the end of book. A twisted mind, intent to keep it a secret, at all cost. Readers will be captivated once again by a good read from Lynette.
I was especially moved by the heroines determination to allow God to bring good from ANY circumstance!
I would certainly recommend this book!
