I am still reading this wonderful new e-book, though I couldn't stop speeding through all it has to offer. Its search feature and Table of Contents were not visible to me, but the e-book has a scroll bar at the bottom of each page that makes it very easy to navigate from section to section of this rich volume.
I'm in year one of an herbalism apprentice program and really appreciate how the material in Dr. Tilgner's book is organized: opening observations about her Wise Woman how's and why's, followed by health conditions/challenges in alphabetical order with accompanying herbal suggestions, followed by alphabetized materia medica pages for the herbs she suggests. While Dr. Tilgner encourages especially beginning herbalists to work with one herb at a time--herbal simples--she also offers effective herbal combinations and beginning descriptions of what types of preparations she recommends for each.
This book will provide another wonderful source for my herbalism studies and practices. I look forward to the next volume, which will focus on the how-to's of herbal preparations, as well as more guidance on working with clients. The book is fun to read and really well organized. So glad I got a chance to read an early copy!
