These days many companies use hyped up marketing or catchy buzzwords to sell their products. Things being touted as "organic" or "natural" immediately comes to mind. And, while many beauty products have water as the first ingredient, I'll overlook that as long the featured or key ingredient is listed in the top three.There's no water in this but there's no discernable ginger either. The primary ingredient is Grapeseed Oil. And while there's nothing wrong with that, it would have been nice if Zingiber officinal extract wasn't listed as the fourth of only four ingredients, meaning it's probably the least abundant/most paltry.Grapeseed Oil can actually be good for hair growth so the fact that they've named this Ginger Oil is indicative of either clever or misleading marketing. Take your pick. Also, I'm not a chemist but I'm not sure why this even has cyclomethicone & dimethicone in it. It's not harmful but it certainly doesn't seem necessary. But I suppose if you assume the consumer isn't bright enough to know any better, why not press your luck.To me this is just expensive Grapeseed Oil that's not cold-pressed and I only smelled a hint of ginger. There wasn't an expiration date listed either.

The product itself, as in the oil, is 10/10! My hair has never felt so silky and soft. It’s like how romance novels describe the heroines hair but you didn’t think it was actually a thing. I use several hair growth products after severe illness and needing to grow my hair back. So I can’t speak for just this one in that aspect. But for shedding control, shine, and overall feel. It’s fabulous. The consistency is a little thicker than other oils. I put a few drops into my palm and run by hands together and run it through my hair after I’ve washed and towel dried it. It doesn’t leave any oily feeling and I usually have a problem with that. The scent is mild and hasn’t caused me any issues.

The only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is that the bottle needs some work. The cap is a really thin metal, I thankfully haven’t cut myself as others have mentioned but I can see how that would be easy to do. The dropper is also not fully sealed in the lid. So every time I pick it up it’s like oil has evaporated to cover the rubber pump of the dropper outside the cap. I’ve wiped it off and made sure there’s no oil and no matter what the next time it’s covered in a little oil. Overall as long as your careful with the bottle or perhaps even replace it for another one you may have already. This oil is amazing, especially for such a low price. I’d buy again in a heartbeat.

So when this arrived the bottle was covered in oil so I lost some of the product and then when I wiped it off I tried to open it and the lid sliced my fingers because it is so sharp. That being said the oil does not have a strong smell and I have noticed less shedding since I started using it but I haven't noticed a ton of hair growth either so I might need more time to tell.
