In spite of its great graphics, I wasn't as impressed with this story as with the others in this collection because more space was needed for a good graphic retelling of Hercules' twelve labors. It seems that the storyteller and illustrator are giving us a brief survey of Hercules' adventures. Good examples are the King Arhthur editions or Odysseus' story. Nevertheless, it was OK. You still have the story of courage and it lends itself well to a discussion on character traits, motives, and goals, as well as mythology.

I've bought this one as a gift, but we own many of these. I love this series because it introduces my son to classic myths, but in a medium he loves. As a first grader, he is still gaining his confidence as a reader, but he loves these for the great graphics. As his reading level has improved, he has been making his way through the text. His repeated reading of these books tells me he is getting a lot of pleasure out of these, And I'm happy, because it is a comic I can love too.

The book arrived in the time frame expected and was in great condition. I love this book. Great way to introduce Myths and legends to students with special needs. My students found it easy to read and it met requirements in my English class.

This is a great graphic (comic book) version of the story of Hercules's Twelve Labors. It's small and lightweight for portability. It begins with a map showing where the labors occurred. The book only covers the twelve labors (as the title suggests) and not Hercules's apotheosis.

This book is part of Graphic Universe's Graphic Myths and Legends series. This one tells the story of Hercules, the super-strong son of Zeus. But the goddess Hera wants Hercules dead, and decides to send him to King Eurystheus who assigns him twelve labors (or tasks), each more difficult than the last, and each designed to end his life. But, you can't keep a good man down, and Hercules is the best of men!

This is a very good book, with an exciting storyline, and lots of great action. It does a great job of bringing the ancient myth to life. As with all of the books in the series, the illustration work is quite excellent, making the books a movie for the mind! It's a great graphic novel, and a good one for introducing young readers to Classical mythology.

Enjoyed reading the story but doesn't go into all the detail of other works. The graphics are beautiful and make it interesting for children to read.
