I LOVE TMBG! So when I read the reviews before buying this, I discounted all the negative ones. After the fact, I wish I hadn't. This is my least favorite album I've bought of theirs, and compared to No (which is their only other kids album I own) which I will happily listen to all the time, after a week of listening to this while I drove my 18 month old son to day care each day, I had to take it out and haven't been able to bring myself to put it back in. I do like a few of the songs, like C is for Conifer, and initially liked the Alphabet of Nations until I started memorizing the nations to sing along and caught on that for W and X, they sing West Xylophone. I would rather just sing W and X, or a phrase about there not being any nations that begin with those letters rather then made up nations to confuse my son. Also, while the DVD is cool, and nice as a separate item, for some reason all of the songs are also on the CD, so Letter/Not a Letter, which is basically a bunch of kids voices shouting out "that's a letter," "that's not a letter" to images, makes no sense in the car. I'm very disappointed by this, and now hesitant to buy the rest of the TMBG kids CD's in case they are similarly disappointing.
