"HERE COMES THE SUN is a revealing story line with a twist that I didn't see coming. The premise is entertaining and intriguing; the romance is passionate and compelling; the characters are plenty, colorful and dynamic." --Sandy (The Reading Cafe)
"This newest installment in the Butler, Vermont series is both sweet and sexy, dangerous and comforting. I loved the addition of a bit of suspense with Mia's background and the tension that came with the danger she was facing." --Rachel (Reviews by Tammy and Kim)
"Well-written, engaging story that has the quiet, keeps-to-himself brother shocking his loud, vocal family. While his family certainly voices their concerns about his new relationship, they live up to their family motto of sticking together and supporting one another. This is a romance truly about soulmates, learning about one another and building trust." --Comfy Chair Books
"Here Comes the Sun is a beautiful story about love, heartbreak, soulmates and second chances." --Konny (KDRBCK)
"There are Abbotts and Colemans everywhere and I love their interactions. It's heartwarming to see everyone rally around each other for various reasons, whether work related or personal, and you can feel the love. There were laugh out loud moments along with sadness, tears and heartache." --JoAnne (RomanceJunkies.com)
"I was so excited when I heard we were going to get Wade's story, it's the book I have been waiting for. I wanted to see what made this man tick. I wanted to get to know him and Marie Force did not disappoint me I loved his story." --Jackie Wright (MI Bookshelf)
"Wade is just absolutely perfect. Seriously. My words just can't do him justice. You have to read and experience the wonder that is Wade. Charming, sexy, and omg! So freaking sweet. The man had me falling for him within minutes." --Britt (The Red Hatter Book Blog)

Until she turns up half frozen on his doorstep two years later and all he can do is breathe a sigh of relief she feels as he does but Mia has secrets and those secrets can hurt Wade in many ways. Can these two make a go as a couple even as danger looms behind Mia, a sudden marriage proposal and wedding and the big question is- will Wade’s family ever accept Mia as Wade’s heartmate even with the suddenness of her arrival into their son’s life?
I normally devour this author’s books, especially this series since this is the first one I found of this author’s that had me laughing up a storm while reading and falling in love with a family that is as normal as you and me. But HERE COMES THE SUN fell flat to me and this was why. I could not at all fall in love with Mia as a main character as I did for the other women in the series. She annoyed me to no end and I just could not see how someone who was supposed to be abused act like that in any way.
What I didn’t really like was I think how Mia reacted, when she dropped into Wade’s bed even after being beaten by her ex, skittish at one point then falling all over Wade like he was going to leave her. As a person who has dealt with a physical abusive relationship, this had me not as keen as others were on Wade’s heroine, Mia. I found her to be not as authentic as I would have preferred a character would be dealing with the aftereffects of two years of abuse and more. To me, Mia was just not that enjoyable and I may get flack for saying that, but she just grated on my nerves. I love Wade Abbot and the whole Abbott family. I was eager to see where the author would go for Wade’s story and I just couldn’t get into this one as much as I did the other books in this series as well as in the Green Mountain Series. For me, Mia was fake and just going through the motions of being an abused woman and checking off boxes of what they are like. Check-bruises and emotional beatdown. Check-Fearful and self loathing. Check-Jump at every noise. It all felt off to me within the story. As much as I love the scenes with the Abbotts and all my favorite characters, I was not as enthused about this one as I normally would have been.
HERE COMES THE SUN is a nice story but I didn’t love it as much as I did in the past. Maybe it was because I am sensitive on how a good domestic abuse storyline should be used in a story or the fact I was once a statistic for being in an abusive relationship. Whatever the case, HERE COMES THE SUN is well written, great cast of familiar characters and a tease of a future books has me wondering if the twins will find their own happy ever after plus we got to see Fred, the Moose who I simply adore.
Ms. Force delivers a nice story that you may or may not enjoy depending on your trigger issues but its overall a good book, just not that great in my opinion as past works in the series have been.
This is an objective review and not an endorsement
Wade and Mia make the perfect pair, and I have no doubt that their relationship will be one that lasts forever. I am so happy for Wade, he was always the most quite and private sibling of the bunch. To see how happy he is now, compared to what his life was before Mia walked back into his life, is totally astounding. Mia is such a strong woman to be able pull off what she had to do to survive. She deserves all the happiness life can hold for her, especially after the living through the turbulant life she was able to finally free herself from.
This book has everything I love about this series. The need to compete between the siblings is hysterical, but the way they stick together as a whole when one of their own is threatened is totally priceless. Plus, this story had a bit of mystery/ suspense to this book, that kept you glued to your seat with anticipation. And of course I've always enjoy the inneraction between Fred and Hannah, but now that there's a baby moose involved, it just got so much more interesting. But....at the same time, I feel so bad for poor, sweet Nolan. He might as well give up, because he doesn't stand a chance when it comes to Hannah and those two moose. Molly and Lincoln just crack me up. They sure know how to make their children squirm, don't they? lol!!! I also love the twins, Lucas & Landon. You can't help laughing at their crazy, wacky behavoir. I can't wait to see these two finally fall, I just hope it's not going to involve the same woman. I hope Max finally finds someone who loves him, like he deserves to be loved. And Babies!!! There are going to be all kinds of new babies coming into play soon, and I can't wait!
If you haven't read this series yet, what are you waiting for? I guarantee you won't be diappointed you did.
I am a total sucker for family romance series. We get to fall in love with the Abbott family in Marie’s Green Mountain & Butler, Vermont series. In Here Comes the Sun, we get Wade Abbot’s (Wade Michael Abbott… ) love story.
“It’s not a dream. I’m really here, and I’ve been dying for your kiss for as long as I’ve known you.” ~ Marie Force, Here Comes the Sun (Butler, Vermont #3)
I have sat on this review for a few months because I don’t really know what to say. This one was not my most favorite of the Abbott’s. I know, I know… I feel like I am committing a sin by saying that. I want to put on a cone of shame for even thinking this!! Yes, we get Marie’s amazing writing. But with this one, I just didn’t fall in love with the storyline.
Wade & Mia Simpson meet on a weekend retreat. There was an instant connection. Never did he think that he would see her again. Until one day she shows up at his house to escape an abusive relationship. Of course, Wade just has to marry her… Within the first few chapters… This is the part that just didn’t connect with me.
Again, loved the characters. Just didn’t love this specific storyline.
But hey, there was a bright spot!! FRED THE MOOSE!!! Fred (or is he really a Fred?!?!) steals the show each and every time! Fred holds my heart. In fact, I went to Yellowstone a few summers ago waiting and longing to see my own Fred. Alas, I did not have any luck seeing my own Fred. So, I get excited to seeing Fred in Marie’s book.
I love the Abbotts! I always will. I cannot wait for their next story. And Lincoln & Elmer crack me up! They are the ultimate match makers.
At the end of the day, if you are a Marie Force lover, you will enjoy this book. Don’t take my opinion on this one.

Not to mention this story is full of great characters and a somewhat unconventional relationship between Wade and Mia. That I loved reading and see develop. And It really was great to catch up with the Abbott family as a whole.
And anyone who is a fan of this series, is sure to enjoy Here Comes the Sun as much as I did.
