Editorial Reviews

Ellie and Louise, also known as Heathers, are twin sisters from Ireland armed with their voices and an acoustic guitar. This album features some truly amazing vocal harmonies, delivered with just the perfect amount of youthful exuberance.

I heard Heathers for the first time when they opened for Ghost Mice on tour in July 2008. The music is fast, up-beat folk with dual vocals and fantastic harmonies. The band's members are twin sisters who both sing while one plays the guitar. While this arrangement conjures images of a very sparse sonic landscape, the rich vocals and energetic playing actually form a very lush sound. Musically, there's very little to bring it under the "punk" umbrella that Plan-It-X records is best known for, but the themes and diy ethics of the group are very much in keeping with its standards. I highly recommend this album to anyone.

I found them through YouTube on the sidebar related to Tegan and Sara. When I have friends around and I'm listening to them, they often get mistaken for T&S, because they have a similar sound. Personally, I prefer Heathers in the car because their really mellow and a lot of T&S is really dancey.

My name's Miranda and I'm 17 years old.

I first found the Heathers on YouTube and heard "Remember When" performed live at a so-called "gig in town." What town, I don't know. :} But I thought the music was great and their singing was amazing. I love this CD and am so glad I bought it.
