If you missed this band first time around , time to get caught up. The 90s produced alot of great rock and maybe that is why Tidewater Grain slipped through the cracks. They never gained the recognition and popularity that they did , and still do, deserve. Stellar musicianship, writing and a great vocalist to enjoy. I can hardly believe that I missed out on them at the time considering I lived in the area ( Philly) that they come from.
They must have really rocked out live..

Good Band

i first saw this band open for Finger Eleven.. the show was one dollar. Tidewater Grain blew me away. i only got to see them one more time after that at some stupid college thing in Philly. this record has alot more going on in it than most, great lyrics, great riffs and a solid rhythem section. anyway, after over two years of waiting for a followup record the band is officially dead. too bad considering both times i saw them they played an unreleased song called "saturday" that i hoped would be on the next record. oh well. guitarist Dave Lord now sings and plays gtr in a band called The Skyline Drive. decent but.. you be the judge. track it down if you want. "Here On The Outside" still gets spins in my cd player years later. Kevin Tidewater i miss you!!!

I tend to not really venture outside of mainstream music that much. However, I am trying not to be so close-minded, and grabbed this cd from a friend. It's wicked awesome. The sounds, the texture, and that voice *mmm* I have listened to it on loop for the past 2-3 hours. It's pretty rare that I like an entire cd enough to do that. I'll definitely be checking out their other stuff. Can't wait for summer again so I can ride with the top down on my jeep, and crank this cd as I fly down the highway.
