It was such a pleasure to revisit these characters and expand on what I'd started with Last Chance. Nick was a fun hero to flesh out, from his love for his brother andfear that he wouldn't be able to rescue Del to his struggle with agrowing attraction for Cassie, a prime suspect in his investigation ofthe Shays. I took great delight in torturing him with the Shay twins,who together are a very scary force of nature.

Cassie was also adelight to create, the Shay's resident braincase and tech whiz. Smartthough she might be and focused on her work, Nick still melts her brainand dodging his persistent investigation gets...complicated. She alsogave me the perfect opportunity to explore the AI aspect of thestoryline and give my super-villain Webster Griffin an even moresinister edge.

The sleek and powerful racing ships, the Shadowslicers, still have their moments to shine, but I was also able to bring forward an aspect of the storyline that had only lurked in thebackground in the first book: the Sun Orders. Religion is always atricky subject, but no one can deny that faith has power, and the SunOrders reveal that they have a part to play in this ongoing strugglebetween good and evil.

But of course the war isn't won in this story! The battle concludes in the third book, Dawn of the Red Sun, which I'm diligently working on now. So I hope you'll enjoy reading Here There Be Dragons as much as I enjoyed writing, and join me later for the grand finale. --This text refers to an alternate kindle_edition edition.

This wasn’t a bad book.The characters where well written and the plot wasn’t bad. My only real gripe is that I felt I had to read the first book to thoroughly get the whole overall story, especially since this one ended leading into the next book.

A great sequel. Can't wait for Book 3

“Here There Be Dragons” Sunscapes Book 2 Loved it…Loved it….Loved it!!!! Finished it in less than a day since I couldn’t stop reading it. I can’t wait for Book 3 of the series.
Seriously, I know some trilogies have two main characters in Book 1 and two different ones in the second. The authors forget the characters you came to love in Book 1, leaving them “off camera” or relegating them to a brief scene or two. Not in “Here There Be Dragons.” Our favorite characters are back, fully involved in the story and in the new romance and intrigue. It was perfect. I know Book 3 will be just as good.
Personally, I don’t even want to read the excerpt of Book 3, “Dawn of the Red Sun,” at the end of “Here There Be Dragons,” because then it will be just that much harder to wait. Read and enjoy.

This was an excellent story! Space, lightning fast ships, artificial intelligence, and a megalomaniac bent on world domination, what could go wrong?!? Answer, a LOT!! This is a fast paced read with something always happening, keeps you reading just to find out what happens next! Loved the story and can't wait to check out this authors other works! Thank you for the opportunity to review this work.

I struggled with this book i found that i just never quite got into it.First of there is no Dragons which sucked they were why i read it i just love my paranormal books .I also think it is because i just did not like the main characters Cassie just knew everything was always right and it just got on my nerves and Nick was just bla they both bored me.Just not for me sorry.

I really liked Cassie, she made me laugh and I really enjoyed her adventures and romance. This book has some great lines and well thought out sci fi elements. Probably best if you read the first one in the series and then like me you'll be waiting for that third one!
