I believe that this product is one of the more current and comprehensive books of its kind. It was recommended by a friend who knew about my interest in moving into a new phase of obtaining recognition for my book. So, I bought it as a worthwhile addition to my resources in the publishing field. I received everything I wanted from this reference book.

Thorough and inlaid with little equivocation, Jeff Herman's guide must be considered one of the most all encompassing guides on the seemingly bewildering world of pursuing publication. There's a lot to get through in this book, but the chapters of essays were accessible and informative.

Lots of great step by step instruction, including for how to submit your material to specific agents and publishers, as well as industry norms and standards. Was looking for more of a directory or reference style material, this read more as a guide, but still very helpful

Very helpful in understanding the writing industry and how to enter it. After writing 4 books I realize I should have had the book before the first book. Will pass it on to others who are starting writers.
Thank You

Covers a lot of publishers as a reference or start book to get to know the field . . . at least it indicates who one might contact as a start to getting a book published (hardcopy or ebook). Arrived on time and in good order.

I have other directories, but this one is so tangible. It gives you a good feel for each agent's likes and dislikes and their relationships with publishers. Now I can search for agents whose market and contacts are looking for the kind of books I'm writing. It should save me a lot of time, but hopefully, put me in touch with someone who is looking for my book.

Loaded with helpful information about agents and what they're looking for and not interested in. Just what I needed as I search for an agent and publisher.

This book organizes all the information I need to send out my manuscript. My only suggestion, oh how I wish, would be to add a "publish immediately" coupon to send to publishers. When I figure out how to make a book get published just by thought-osmosis, I'll write my own.
