Season One of Heroes was phenomenal; I really got invested into the characters and their wild stories. It was funny, exciting, dark and unique. Season 2 dipped in quality a bit, partly due to the writer's strike, but I still found it entertaining and not as bad as many are making it out to be. Hiro DID spend too much time in Japan but it was wrapped up nicely. I liked the new characters of Monica and Elle. Matt was given more time on-screen (not as much as Hiro or Claire but still quite a bit.) It's a nice set-up for the next season (which sounds like it'll be amazing... if you're disappointed with Season 2 don't stop watching. The creators are really working hard on 3 and even made an apology.) The second half of Season 2 gets even better and that's when the show really takes off.

I choose this rating because the TV show is good. What I like about the TV show is that you experience Season 2 like you've never seen it before! The "Heroes" series is like having an itch that hurts so bad. You never can get enough, and you are left hungering for the next episode. The premise of people having unusual powers has been done to death. However, Tim Kring and his co-writers have revisited this idea - making the "heroes" both ordinary and unconventional: A small girl, able to locate the series' villain - Sylar, who is inexplicably in the care of Matt Parkman (another "hero"), a policeman and personal bodyguard; Peter Petrelli, an empathetic health care worker who is baffled but intrigued by his emerging powers; and the "cheerleader", a beautiful high school student who has to fit in with her peers as her parents move continuously to keep her safe. I was able to videotape most of the first season but I had to have "Heroes" so badly that I did without necessities to buy Seasons 2 through 4. I can't wait for "Heroes Revisited". What do you call a female fan of "Heroes"? A "Heroine"? A "she-hero"?

Heros season 2 is not as good as season 1. They were having the writers strike back then so there are not as many episodes as the other season. I as still trying to decide it I want to continue collecting the rest of the seasons. I remember when it was on the air that season 2 was a disappointment.

The show this season was ruined by the writer's strike, it was slow with all the traveling back into time, still for those who weren't patient to find out out how good the third season will be, too bad for them! Anyway, this second season don't expect it to be as great as season one, but there are good stories and plots, if you missed them, you'll be lost in season three.

While season 2 turned out to be the weak point of the series it was far from being terrible. The first season gave us the introduction of the hero characters and their individual stories and plots for why they did what they did, the second and the rest of the season gave us more on the superhero plotline stories rather then the secret identity story plot it felt like. While there are a few characters who felt they weren't needed it didn't detract from the enjoyment I got from watching the show, and for the price the set is going for right now I feel it's forgivable especially since this is the shortest season of the four seasons the show as on the air. The video and audio are great with nice clarity and sound especially as you hear the background sound. So again while this wasn't the greatest season it's still and enjoyable enough season to add to your dvd library anyway considering what the price for the set is going for it's a pretty reasonable bargain....

This season was only 11 episodes long, but I hold it as the best 11 episodes of the entire series. It is the first season I received in the mail, so I watched it first, and It may be good enough to stand on it's own.

If you're like me, the first season of Heroes had you hooked. But thanks to a writer's strike mid-season, Heroes fell flat in Season 2. The storyline gets rushed and muddled. Characters seem to act oddly. Sure, the potential for greatness remained, but you're getting into murkier waters. It's worth watching if you enjoy the series and want to keep up with what's happening with the characters, but if I had to pinpoint where the series went astray, this season would be it. Season 3 was a valiant attempt to right the Heroes ship, but by season 4, you didn't know who to trust or what to believe. It's a shame that the series was cancelled and was never able to recover to recapture the greatness of Season 1. Moral of the story: don't let your writers strike mid-season. It has a tendency to throw a wrench in an otherwise great series.
