From the first page I was hooked and I need to read the next page and the next page and the next and the next... you get the point haha! I need to read this in one go like it was a drug and need my fix!
Isla is this beautifully strong woman who had been taken as a drug mule with no way of escaping this living hell! The things these girls had been made to do and go through just to please these horrible, despicable men for they're own entertainment was heartbreaking and soul crushing! but Isla didn't let it show on the surface, she just wanted to survive.
Javier *sigh* (new book boyfriend alert)joins the Mexican Cartel searching for something, little does he know that he will find more than he was bargained for when he arrives!
if you love dark books then this book is for you it's dark and it's twisted!
This is my third time reading this and it doesn't get any easier, I feel all the angst and anger throughout as I did the first time I had read it! I was lucky enough to read as it was being written, then again and now as a reviewing blogger!
I don't think I could fault this for anything! well I can... THAT ENDING!! Jesus, I swear you could hear my heart cracking all the was in Australia!! I'm utterly heartbroken for more than one reason. one, it was over and two... well you'll have to read it an find out!
Well done Kirsty-Anne this book is just mind blowing, you have grown with each book you have written and im incredibly proud of you and I love watching you growing as a writer! Oh and I need my next fix!!!

Isla has been kidnapped by a drug cartel. She’s heavily abused, badly tortured and used as a sex toy and a drug mule. From the first moment of her meeting with Javier, he makes it plain he likes and desires her. Soon Javier will prove her that an attraction this hot is worth all the risks…
The author is able to convict a lot of raw emotion in very few words. I’m always drawn and intrigued by books that deal with real human problems and emotion. This book scared me a little bit on what drugs do to you. This is a seriously sad, very raw, and very emotional story. You really fall in love with each character and the way the author writes, you just feel like you're descending to rock bottom with them!
Why 4 stars? Because the ending was an enormous let-down for me. The book was perfect until the ending kind of ruined it. I didn’t find it impressive, it was simply disappointing.
Overall, the book is as audacious as it is dark and sensual. For that alone, this book is a must read.
This is a dark book. It has dark themes which may not be for everyone.
Isla goes out one night and wakes up living a nightmare. Drugged and kidnapped from a party, she wakes up to find herself home with a drug cartel. Used as a drugs mule, and all round general play thing, her life really couldn't get any worse. She knows what's expected of her and plays by the rules as much as she can. When Javier, a new recruit, turns up, Isla feels a bond with him. Wary incase he's like all the other men, he slowly gains her trust. When something happens to break that trust, they both have to live with the devastating consequences.
I really enjoyed this book. Packed with plenty of action, characters you love to hate and a heroine you'll be rooting for all the way through, I'd recommend this if you like dark romances.
I knew this story was going to be darker than my normal reads but I couldn't have predicted just how much. This book was DARK! It explained things pretty graphically and there were times I shied away from some of the events that took place. In saying that I think that was part of the reason I couldn't set it down!
Isla was dealt such a s*** hand, she was used and abused and still her spirit never broke!! That girl possessed a strength that few women could even have dreamt of! She took on the role of head girl/ carer of the other younger girls and gave them the strength they needed to carry on in the life!
Javier had me conflicted, I loved him when I was first introduced to him. He just seemed liked such a great hero but there came a point in the book I hated his guts! He won me round again though and I fell in love with his character all over again.
Santiago was a complete and utter c%nt, that's the nicest word I could use for him!! I seriously contemplated and planned the things I would do to him had he been a real person!!
There are times I find a book a little predictable and storylines easily read but this book was totally different. I never knew where the author was going to go next and I couldn't have even guessed most of the time!
This book was not a story full of fairy tales and romance. It was raw, gritty and sometimes downright scary to read. This is a book that will stay with you long after you finish.
