SO MUCH CAT HAIR if cat fur were a valuable commodity it wouldn't be long before Forbes mentions me.

I brushed off enough cat hair to have another cat. I would recommend this brush if you want to brush your fur babies bald. It won't actually ever happen, them being bald, but it is so satisfying to see that fur pile up next you as you spend 30 minutes brushing your cat or dog. I'm starting to think Porkins doesn't even have any skin, she must be made entirely of fur as it NEVER ENDS. She's completely passed out now from all the brushing, she loved it. The push button to retract the bristles is fantastic and makes for easy clean up! Totally worth every penny, and I'm sure Porkins would agree as well, if she understood the basic concept of monetary values.UPDATE // 3 years have passed since I've purchased and reviewed this product. I used it extensively the brush has now come across an issue. I can't say its the brush itself that is at fault, maybe it's the constant push of the button to clear the fur that just couldn't keep up with me, but the push button has now evolved into the strongest thumb workout ever. The resistance the button gives added a new feature to this brush that not only requires what I would measure as the strength of ten teenagers combined (9 of which are looking at their phones while the remaining one sadly their phone has died) has now forced me to realise my own weakness by testing my thumb strength. Some days I have to use BOTH of my thumbs to push down (quitters never win and winners never quit) until I feel that satisfying click as it locks into place. Other days my thumbs are so fatigued I can not bother to retract the bristles and opt for the age old method of cleaning the bristles manually (but those who never win AND never quit are filled with disappointment). 3 years and I still use this brush despite the easy fur removal hindered, possibly obsolete. I'd still recommend this brush as it reaches the undercoat of your fur overlords when they demand their daily brushing therapy.

I'm not going to lie, I mostly got this to see if my rescue would enjoy it, as there's very little normal cat stuff he actually likes (he hates catnip, expensive cat beds, cat treats, human food, etc.), he mostly just seems fond of dry cat food, a cheap bed and me. He also sheds a LOT for a short hair, so bonus, I thought, maybe I could use this to lessen the amount of cat hair when I sweep. Nope. This does not do much as far as deshedding a short hair. But he loves it, so, mission accomplished. Good product, better for long-haired pets, I'm assuming.

My cat ..princess prissy pants, would never let me brush her. I had to put a leash on her and hold the leash and then she would do a crocodile death twist trying to bite at my hand. It was definitely a sight to be seen!!…But lo and behold…along came this Godsend!! She loves it and she will even at times lay down and roll over in front of one of us to let us know she wants us to rub/brush her. Her favorite is her face and head being brushed. It’s not to rough. It doesn’t pull her fur and it’s easy to hold and also easy to clean the hair off the brush. Great product!!

My Maine Coon kitten, who has just turned 1 year old, had recently developed some rather large matts after beginning to shed his summer coat. They seem to be mostly around his armpits and hind quarters. Trying to tackle these were getting to be a bit of a wrestling match, so much so that we had to cut some of them out. He is used to being brushed so that was not necessarily the issue it was where they were and trying to keep him still enough to brush them out. We had tried many different types of brushes (even a human paddle brush when he was younger, which worked a treat). However, now he is getting older his coat has changed and is far more fluffier. I came across this brush when I was researching how to brush Maine Coon's. I can honestly say that I am glad that I bought it as this definitely works and it seems to not hurt him as some have in the past. We now have a happy kitten that lies down and does not wiggle trying to get away.
