Did anyone proofread this story?
Matt describes his friend Eli's house as a one story ranch style with a hall leading to the bedrooms. Then later it has an upstairs.
There are other moments where Charles( Penn's s horrible boss leaves the room inhabits the door only to have Matt shut the door behind him again. Really???
These little mixture happened throughout the book.
The story felt methodical, not like flowing emotions. It felt as though the author was forcing the story. The emotions were lacking at moments.
This could have been much better. Glad I got the book for free.
I will not be reading any more in the series.
I think I would have enjoyed this book more if I had read the series from the beginning, and got to know everybody little by little, instead of having them all thrown in on me at once. Although there are no cliffhangers, it didn't seem to work as well as it could have as a stand-alone. For those who have been following "The Alexanders" from the beginning, you will probably really enjoy this book. Otherwise, it just didn't do a whole lot for me.
