Our most well-known glove is a modern classic with many functions. A longer model for those who often ski powder and need a durable and warm glove on the mountain. Can be used with other Hestra liners.

and the outer shell is quite spacious,
but the liner fits snuggly in the thumb;
just right for me but I'm smaller than extra large.
. one of the features are handcuffs:
these are stretchy bracelets attached to the mitts,
so that when you take your mitts off,
they are still nearby dangling from the bracelets.
. for the leather palms they suggest routinely moistening it,
and then applying hestra leather balm with a soft cloth
(the ingredients on the amazon page differs from
the sample of balm that came with the mitts;
the sample has sunflower seed oil, bees wax, lanolin, carnauba wax,
coconut oil, tea tree oil, peppermint oil, glycerin).
-- don't get the balm on the non-leather fabric.
(I'm not sure I would trust polyunsaturated oils on leather;
I'm not going to use the hestra leather balm).
. the mitts can be combined with different linings,
because the liner is in place with velcro;
the included liner is polyester insulation.
. velcro comes in 2 sides, a furry one,
and then one with hooks that grabs the curly fur;
the liner has the velco side with the hooks,
and if you throw them in the wash,
the velcro hooks will get clogged with loose threads,
so they need to be washed by hand separately.
. you can find other liners at the hestragloves website:
(where I found the following liner descriptions)
# 34071 Insulated Liner Long:
A liner that can be combined with many different models,
like 30571 Army Leather Heli Ski Mitt [being reviewed].

# 34161 Primaloft Extreme Liner:
A multi-layer Primaloft mitt liner for very cold days.
Can be combined with a shell mitt, for example
art. no. 35111, 35811 or 35901. [not 30571?]
OUTER MATERIAL Windproof, waterproof and breathable polyamide ripstop. Machine washable.
INSULATION Primaloft polyester.
-- will the Extreme Liner be too big for these mitts?
