These were lots quieter than I expected. Even shaking 4 or 5 together doesn't make a whole lot of noise; if you're shaking 1 or 2 it's hard to hear. We got these for a music & movement program at our library and are trying to decide to keep them or not. Overall they seem better quality, and better-looking, than the plastic ones, but we need to make some noise!

Not as smooth or variety as expected

We had received one of these as a gift and loved it so much. So we ordered a batch of 12 for ourselves to keep some and give out as gifts. The 12 that came were not nearly as nice as the original we received from someone else. Half of them have a really hard/sharp ridge that circles around them. There are random stains on a bunch of the handles. A hole in the end of one. There were also really cute colored ones in the pictures that we didn't receive while we did receive many duplicates of uglier ones. Half of the 12 were mostly red in color. Just wasn't what we were expecting after the initial one we received as a gift. We asked them and this was the listing they had used, so we were pretty disappointed in the 12 that were sent to us.
