However, as a warning, one time a Christian lady who hadn't been to seminary and who was a very serious person was looking through one of my copies of the book, and she got upset about it, even after I explained to her that it wasn't meant to be taken seriously, but I don't think she agreed. She ended up taking the book with her, probably to burn it. LOL So, be careful not to show it to the wrong people who can't take a joke. Just so you know, I originally found out about the book when I met the author, Ian Kammann, at an international church that we both happened to be visiting the same Sunday. We talked for a while after the service, and he seems like a very solid believer with a very unique sense of humor, and I know his intentions are only to poke fun at stereotypical Christian culture but certainly not at Jesus or the Bible. That's why I feel like anyone with a Bible education with a sense of humor will quickly understand the difference and find this book extremely entertaining, but cultural/nominal Christians or those who have a tough time laughing at themselves may not appreciate this book. If you aren't a Christian, I'm guessing a lot of the humor in the book either won't make sense to you or won't seem that funny since the book is written with plenty of Christian inside-jokes.
It might be short, but it's well worth the money in my opinion. Especially if you're a Bible college or seminary student or graduate with a good sense of humor, then this book should be required reading for you!
