About the Author

PETER WOHLLEBEN spent over twenty years working for the forestry commission in Germany before leaving to put his ideas of ecology into practice. He now runs an environmentally-friendly woodland, where he is working toward the return of primeval forests, as well as caring for both wild and domestic animals.

Wohlleben has been celebrated for his distinctive approach to writing about nature; he brings to life groundbreaking scientific research through his observations of nature and the animals he lives among.

Jane Billinghurst's career has been in book publishing as an editor, publisher, writer, and translator in the United Kingdom, the United Sates, and Canada. She is the translator of the international bestseller The Hidden Life of Trees by German forester Peter Wohlleben.

Tim Flannery is one of the most celebrated scientists of our time. He is the bestselling author or coauthor of several books, including The Weather Makers, The Eternal Frontier, and Chasing Kangaroos, and a professor at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. He is chairman of the Copenhagen Climate Council and a judge for Richard Branson's Virgin Earth Challenge, and he was named Australian of the Year in 2007.

Mike Grady's career spans more than forty years, including leading theater roles at the Royal Shakespeare Company and the English National Theatre. His television roles have included Minder, Citizen Smith, and Last of the Summer Wine. His film credits include The Return of the Pink Panther opposite Peter Sellers, and Carry On Loving. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
