I feel a moral obligation to review this hugely disappointing premium (in price only) product. I compared it side by side with quart sized regular maple syrups from both Costco and BJs . I opened those bottles just because I thought my taste must be off when I first tasted this Hidden Springs maple syrup (HSMS). It wasn;t. HSMS, at least the bottle I got (it was sealed so it must be genuine) has virtually no maple taste. It tastes sort of like light caramel. It's colored the same, light. "Dark, robust"? Are you kidding? The warehouse maple syrups (Costco and BJs) have a very robust taste and color compared to this one. Again, I honestly cannot taste any maple in this HSMS. Perhaps it is a very light, not concentrated maple syrup - a type I never purchased before? Coming off a different specie of maple trees perhaps? And I purchased lots of maple syrups the past 20+ years, mostly from Costco. I recall purchasing a true robust grade B MS years ago, possibly here on Amazon - truly robust, strong maple taste ! I wish I could find that again - I'll have to check my Amazon order history shortly. Some people might prefer very light taste MS like this, but even so, who wants maple syrup that tastes nothing (or extremely little) like MS? Given the lack of maple taste, I honestly hope it is truly 100% maple syrup as claimed. Such shame - I could have bought almost 2 bottles at Costco for this price. Lesson to myself: sometimes is better to stick with things you know/trust/like.

Yum, yum, and yum. I drink green tea every day and it makes me feel better about myself to use something other than sugar to sweeten it, so I chose this, 'cause hey, better option on the glycemic index, better nutrition, and all that. It's also important to me that it be organic, given that I want to avoid all that weird stuff they treat conventional maple trees with and filter the syrup with.
But now, I probably wouldn't switch to anything else just 'cause I'm hooked on this flavor. Honey is also a healthier sweetening alternative to sugar, but I think maple syrup tastes better, and this maple syrup in particular, this grade B, with its dark and full flavor, is just a real treat. Delicious with pancakes, in homemade pecan pie, in two-ingredient caramel, as a drink sweetener, and in probably anything you want a sweetener for. I'm so grateful to be able to get a good deal on it here, so I can justify my rampant consumption of this "liquid gold." Highly recommended.

This syrup is great if you are using it for the master cleanse like I was. This container is enough to last about 2 weeks if you are doing the master cleanse, but if you are using it for other purposes like for pancakes or waffles etc. obviously it will last longer. Great taste and flavor. Definitely going to buy this syrup again. And not just for the cleanse. Definitely recommend!

I had never tried grade B maple syrup before but I started the Master Cleanse and it was required for that. Finding grade B syrup locally in Plant City, FL is nearly impossible. I thought Grade A was the top of the line, but grade B was more expensive. According to the Master Cleanse book Grade B has more vitamins and nutrients. I can say its much darker, richer and more flavorful. I tried to make my mix with grade A after using grade B because I ran out and it was a huge mistake. It tasted weak. My family will continue to use grade B from now on. I have ordered no less than 5 of these and the quality has been consistent and of high quality.

I was very disappointed with the lack of taste of this maple syrup. I wanted to use it to make maple cookies as a surprise for my son who loves anything maple. I did not tell him what kind of cookies they were, and asked him to tell me what they tasted like to him. He couldn't. I explained that they were supposed to be maple cookies, but he could not taste it all. He did acknowledge that they had a very slight maple aftertaste after I advised him of the kind of cookies they were supposed to be. I am very unhappy since this was to be a surprise gift sent to him since he lives in another state. I would never buy this again, especially not for cookies.

I have never seen maple syrup covered with foam and full of bubbles and floating things before today. I poured a little bit into a cup and rolled it around to see if the bubbles would dissipate, which they did not. The bubbles and floaty things stay in the body of the syrup. I then took the tip of a spoon and put it into the liquid. it tasted like maple syrup except that there was a sour aftertaste. I googled various versions of "why is my maple syrup full of bubbles" but could find nothing but advice to home-bottlers on how to cook and bottle their own maple syrup. I am disabled and have to get as much of my groceries delivered as possible. It is very disappointing to wait for delivery and pay a premium price, only to get a ruined and/or substandard product. I still don't know what's wrong with it, but I won't risk consuming it. The first picture of the opened bottle is the one with the foamy stuff on top when I opened it. The second picture of the opened bottle is after I poured some into a cup, and you can see that the body of the syrup is full of bubbles and tiny little things. I've also added some pictures of the syrup in the cup. The "bubbles" don't rise to the top of the syrup. They just stay in the body of the syrup. Very weird.

This maple syrup is very high quality and perfect for both topping your pancakes/french-toast and baking with.

My healthy Mrs. Butterworth's recipe:

1 cup real maple syrup
1/4 cup raw honey (gently heated so it's easier to work with if it's thick or solidified)
1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1 teaspoon high quality vanilla
1 pinch fine sea salt

Whisk above ingredients and bottle for your pancakes/crepes/french toast etc.
