Hard as nails 22 year old thief and prostitute VICTORIA WALKER is given a tough choice by a judge: get a legal job or go to jail. Althea Jaffery, age 77, takes an unusual liking to Victoria and hires her on the spot beginning a relationship between two women that are worlds apart. The unconditional love of Althea peels away the hardness in Victoria, allowing her to reveal her dark and secret past, while the persistent and confrontational Victoria discovers that Althea has been hiding from a dark and secret past as well. These two women, once with little in common, find themselves at the same point in their lives; discovering that a key to life is the power of forgiveness.

From the very first opening image, I knew that this was a low budget film, and my thoughts were along the lines of, "oh, no...." but I hung in there, and I am glad that I did. Honestly, it is hard to imagine that someone would be as kind as the woman in the film, although not totally unbelievable. I am sure there are some amazing people out there like her, and this film restores your faith in humanity.
There is one big complaint that I do have though. This is a spoiler alert, so if you do not want to know what happens, do not read any further. But my biggest complaint is the way that her face tattoo magically disappeared at the end. That was just a little too out there. Tattoos on the face are extremely hard to remove, and would still probably leave some sort of scarring. To see her just get up, turn around, and all those tattoos are gone? Come on guys, a little hokey don't you think? I could overlook a lot of the other low budget issues, but that was something that should have been avoided, even if it was produced with little funds. They could have at least shown her going in for tattoo removal or something like that.
But all in all this was still a feel-good movie that made it rather safely through its low-end production. It probably will not be for everyone, but if you like a heart-warming story, and can take interest in a troubled young woman heading down the wrong path in life due to some very deep wounds, then this might be for you.
