Too frustrating!

This water bottle, in theory is SUCH a great idea! I am terrible about drinking water and this seemed like the perfect solution. I normally drink from a S’well bottle and to me, this one feels really cheap...almost like I could have printed it on my 3D computer at home. But I told myself I would look past it and at least try it. The app itself needs a lot of refinement. There were many times throughout the day where it would not log the ounces I drank, and I followed all the directions to ensure every one was counted. At least once a day it would say “no bottle” when trying to sync my bottle which was literally right next to my phone. This went on for a few days and I just can’t deal with it. If the technology was smooth I would have been on board.

Man talk about a game changer!! Who would have thought you could use technology to encourage such a simple task of staying hydrated! Not only does the water bottle light-up to offer a friendly reminder, I've now become the talk of the office as many folks remind me to DRINK DRINK DRINK every time the water bottle glows. It has been quite eye-opening how much water I DON'T drink on a daily basis. The competitor in me is trying to meet or beat my hydration goals every day! The app is easy to use, easy to setup, and has a beautiful simple interface.

• PS. Pro tip. Water your desk plants at the end of the day if you are close to not beating your goal :)

I have been using my water bottle for over a week now and I have encountered no issues! I did have to contact Hidrate because my bottle wasn't syncing to my phone, but it was user error. If you have an Android you have to have Bluetooth and location on to sync. They were super quick and helpful in responding to my email to help me troubleshoot my bottle. I was skeptical with the other review saying the bottle scratchs easy, but I have not had any hint of that at all. I also like that in the app you can see where your friends are with their water goals, so it adds some competition to drinking water as well! So far I love my bottle and would recommend to anyone wanting to improve their health by drinking more water! The bottle does it's job and reminds you to drink throughout the day!

Good at measuring, Terrible as a water bottle unless you like your water WARM

Bottle does track my water intake accurately. However, other than tracking, as a water bottle, it's about as advanced as the thin plastic ones we had in the 90s before schools had AC. Even if I fill the bottle with ice, water only filling the gaps with water, and keep it in the shade and 70-degree AC, the ice is gone in an hour. The condensation leaves a puddle and it makes a mess. Even just a 10 min wait at the drs office, I had to clean up a puddle mess from setting it down. I have resorted to using my awesome vacuum-insulated water bottle instead and just using the Hidrate app as a water log.

Awful! It’s such a neat idea, and I read all the negative reviews but I just had to try it. I was wrong. The bottle has an awful smell, even after washing, the lid where you drink out of is not comfortable and actually a little bit sharp. It actually is quite tiny to drink water out of. I’ve recalibrated it like 500x in one day. No matter what it always says I took a drink of 20+ ounces or more with just a small sip, and over 100oz when I take a decent gulp.

Now the reminders are useful so that part works when it glows (encouraging) you to drink more...but still I want accurate tracking!

The app is horrible and maybe it’s just the apps fault. If you want to use this just as a reminder it may work for you, but I couldn’t get over the smell of the bottle tainting my water and having the mouthpiece be so uncomfortable when drinking..

It’s useless! Definitely not worth the price. Maybe if it was $20 bucks i may have considered it, but no, this piece of trash that doesn’t work is going back.

My favorite part is the reminders to keep drinking, if the blinking light doesn’t get my attention the app will notify me on my Apple Watch! This is perfect for me since I am in and out of the car all day! Compatible with my gen 1 Apple Watch.

I think this is a wonderful idea. As busy as I am, I am pretty good at completing each of my intended tasks. All EXCEPT for staying hydrated. It’s really cool that the bottle tracks your water consumption and determines your daily goals based on things like age, height, weight and location (hot vs. cold climate). And when it reminds you to drink water, the glowing is quite noticeable. If other people see your blinking bottle, it helps with motivating yourself to stay on top of drinking water.

This is a fairly new version of their product. Knowing this, I am absolutely okay with the bottle VERY SCARCELY acting up and being a tad buggy. Restarting the app 10 seconds after force-ending it always does the trick. Have trouble with something else? The customer support team is so very responsive and resolved my issue the same day.

OVERALL, I think that this bottle is worth the price point and is a step in the right direction, especially for staying hydrated and being mindful of your water consumption. The customer support staff being as responsive and helpful as they are is a very welcome bonus.

I love this product! If you have a hard time drinking enough water every day then this product is for you. Follow the directions setting it up and caring for your Hidrate bottle. You can’t expect the app the work if you do not set it on a flat surface empty before you fill it up and full after you fill it up for about 10 seconds each.
