Love the artists. Love the revisions. Brought back great memories of Alabama and allowed me to share some artists I love with new friends singing songs everyone knows.
Favorite songs are:
Turnpike Troubadours doing "If you're gonna play in Texas"...
Old Crow Medicine Show doing "Dixieland Delight"
Jason Boland and the Stragglers doing "Mountain Music"

The Wild Country boys should be proud of the ripple effect they had on country music. This album honors what Alabama has done by recording these songs as a tribute to the legenday band - Alabama! A lot of great talented artists such as Jason Isbell, Turnpike Troubadours, Wade Bowen, Jason Boland, and so many others. Much better than the Nashville mainstream Alabama collaboration that just came out.

I have always loved Alabama, I love Lucero. I bought the album for those reasons. Lucero is awesome on here, but so is everyone else on here! EVERY SONG is awesome! A new interpretation of an old favorite can be hit or miss, but this whole album is amazing.

I forgot how much these songs were a part of my childhood. These versions, while not all spot on covers, bring out the spirit and energy of the originals. I think all artists were great, but my stand out track is the Lucero cut. Please listen and make sure these guys get more famous. They are great guys and musicians.

I love Lucero, Turnpike Troubadours, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Alabama. I thought I couldn't go wrong with this one. It seems like everyone made the songs slower than the originals. I hate to say it, but it's just really boring.

I tend to like tribute albums for the new spin the artists will put on songs, but you still have the traditional covers too. This one has a good mix of both.
