Eventually coming to an understanding, he writes in detail about coming to terms with depression, and how he was able to combat it.
What interested to me personally were the numbered steps he details at the end of the book: his recommendations. Many of the things he recommends are what I have been doing for years to try to stave off my two family curses: Alzheimer's disease and strokes. However, it also came home to me that there's a third family curse: depression. Perhaps the reason I have suffered only mildly from depression over the years is because of my longtime commitment to a healthy lifestyle. Taking Fozzie's words to heart, I plan to fine-tune my current habits with some of his suggestions. I don't feel I am completely immune to depression myself, and can use the additional information.
Thanks for another good adventure, Fozzie!
This isn't simply a travelogue as much as its a journey of self examination and acceptance.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Like most people, depression has touched my life.
I always enjoy Keith's humor, honesty and pluck.
Take the opportunity to read all of his books. You will laugh. You will learn. You will be entertained.
Thanks Fozzie for yet another incredible journey.
