Overall, I was pleased to pickup two PBS stations, which I couldn't get with Satellite TV, and I was picking up TV broadcast stations from five local areas up to 105 miles away. I was getting 10 channels and I was happy with what I was receiving. Previously I had been paying $90.00 a month for Satellite TV service from DirecTV, but I didn't get any local channels or PBS stations. Here in Oklahoma, we generally get our share of tornadoes every year and with no PBS channels on DirecTV, I was not able to get the live status or advanced warnings on storms in my area. I liked the little directional long range antenna with a rotor, it was a LAVA model WA-2608 and it performed well. However, I was wishing I could get an Omni-Directional antenna that could reach out as far, so that I wouldn't have to monkey with the rotor whenever I wanted to change channels and get a station from another direction.
Then one day I found an Omni-Directionl antenna with long range capability.Read more ›
The FM trap is fantastic. When the amplifier first arrived I was disappointed. The weak signals were still absent.
When I tried to put the unit back in the box to return, I re-discovered the switch for the FM trap. I decided to re-connect and test. It was magic. Trap out- no signal. Trap in I got pictures.
This is magic! Highly recommended. Not for cable, but you cable cutters will be pleased!
The second unit fed the signal through it but did not amplify the signal, it acted only like a switch so I mailed it back as well and requested a refund.
I actually get pretty good antenna reception, but TiVo is pretty fussy and can't work with my weakest channel. (The antenna is fine with my TV's not connected to TiVo.) I inserted the device in two different places between the antenna and the input to TiVo. It actually reduced the signal strength instead of amplifying it. I used the TiVo signal strength meter to measure each channel before and after installing the device. All channels were weaker. This was true no matter where I set the amplification dial with the FM switch set to either "in" or "out".
I know that antenna electronics can be complex, but I gave the device a fair trial as best I could and it did not work for me.

This signal amp did nothing for me. Maybe others have better results. Zero increase in picture quality. I had an old Realistic that worked awesome. Wish I could find it. Read morePublished 4 days ago by John L. Pongrac
This is not worth the money. Before hooking it up, I was getting 17 channels that were, at times, pixelized. Once i hooked it up I was getting 17channels that were pixelized. Read morePublished 8 days ago by Dave Capper
The power cord is a good length, and you can mount this on the wall, whether you put it behind the TV, or somewhere between the TV and the antenna. Certainly worth the price.Published 8 days ago by Stacy K.
This device is an atrocious amplifier. Supposedly it gives +36dB gain (translation=amplifies signal up to 4000x!!!! Read morePublished 12 days ago by Emily Radcliffe

its hard to get to get a good idea on what to do with running an antenna and using an amplifier. I had this in line and thought that all was going great. Read morePublished 13 days ago by Famousk1
