But the world of dog competitions can be brutal… and one of them is found murdered, all for a Blue ribbon, or is there more to it than that? While Raine is working on staying out of the way (not) a 20 year old mystery comes to light, one that will effect Raine hard.
Mile drive several hours just to watch Cisco compete in his agility course and even thou Raine stumbles and falls he does awesome…
Back at home Buck gets a piece of mail with Roe’s name on it, he wonders should he open it, after all, he is the acting Sheriff since Uncle Roe retired after his heart attack, but has the receptionist call him to come and get his mail. Rosie ask him if he has filled out the paper work for running for sheriff as the elections are coming up soon. Buck is him hawing for some reason… When Uncle Roe sees the later he blanches a little but tells Buck it is nothing. So Buck decides to do some research on his own, looking for the file, which is now in Roe’s hands…. Ok, that is it! Buck wants to know what is going on and goes to find the old Sheriff to get some answers… and the answers he finds will change Raine’s life forever. A must read, alone or as book 7. Find out what happens, and who killed the dog handler….20 years is a long time for a secret to be kept.
The characters continue to be developed in each book. I really like that.
I've learned a lot about dog training.
I am also seeing characteristics of my four g
Goldens: Meghan, Royce, Cody and Zack, in Cisco!
Thank you for these great reads
As a lover of dogs, their training, the pride and love that they evoke for their human partners, I could relate to all that Raine experienced both logically and emotionally even though I know that being a dog lover, the two traits do not have the possibility of existing at the same moment in our minds; logic has to be the first instinct.
Even if you are not deeply involved with the dog world, you can be assured that you will love this book and it's author.
I love you Donna Ball!
