As the story went on, I became aggravated at how artificial their conflict seemed, and I found the resolution rather lame as well. The secondary characters were annoying, and I didn't like how Trent and Ben seemed to take whatever was dished out by these people.
I skimmed to the end, but I didn't find it satisfying. There was no great romantic breakthrough about why they should be together, they just changed their minds.
These are "rich guy/ billionaire" stories with a difference.
Parker has such a talent for hot, juicy scenes without being too wickedly explicit.
Also, there are parts of the story that are just so deliciously, delightfully funny.
There really is nothing here not to love!
In spite of the dramatic titles and covers, these books are far from dramatic. The stories are hot and sweet in every way.
Even tho this book borders on the "instalove", Parker's writing is so smooth and comfy, that you are drawn into the developing relationships without ever thinking "no way, that's too much too soon".
Really worthwhile read indeed.
(Editing is spot on too!!)
EACH BOOK IN THE SERIES IS A STANDALONE.
I was gifted a copy of this book directly from the author, and I am voluntarily submitting my honest, and heartfelt review
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers copy of this book.
I do wish the book had been a little more in depth as the issues between Ben and Trent seemed to be mostly self inflicted and the resolution a little too quick and easy. The way Trent let others tell him what to do even though he didn’t agree with it but didn’t do anything to stand up against them was at times frustrating.
Overall, I did enjoy the book for what it was and I will now buy the first book in the series and look forward to the future ones to come.
