Just as a preface to this review; I did not use this product for an actual router.

I own a DJI drone, specifically a Mavic Air. If you own any drone, DJI included, you can understand how frustrating it can be sometimes to be flying that bad boy around and lose signal when its deep into someone else's property. Just getting that 'signal lost' cast across my screen makes my blood boil just thinking about it.
So like any good ner-do-well, I cast a wide net onto how to make the remote controller for my drone increase its range, in order to keep my signal better, for longer. If you own a drone, you know this is no easy task. What I was found with was $100+ 'solutions' that are so re-donk-ulously overkill that I left feeling even more dejected. I didn't need my drone to be able to fly all the way from coast to coast, and I certainly didn't want to spend the better part of two afternoons soldiering and re-wiring a thousand little do-dads inside of my poor remote controller so that I can fly my drone across state lines.
Thats when I found this product. Most routers, or any device that has to send/recieve a wireless signal uses these little IPEX cables that snap onto the main component board. And my DJI drone (and a lot of drones nowadays) run off of 2.4GHz and 5Ghz bands, so win win.
The crappy little antenna that come stock with the drone's remote controllers were taken off, and substituted with these (it takes about 15 minutes and just one eyeglass or cellphone screwdriver to do) and I was off again in the air.
What a difference! I extended the radius of my 'strong' signal by about double, and I have since removed any of my worries about losing signal at all. All of this for about $10. Cant beat that.

I am unsure of the new rating system on Amazon...but it's a 5-Star product. In terms of "ease of installation" - I'm not going to lie; it's not the easiest to custom modify a PS4 Slim console even if you install it perfectly because any warranty is voided merely opening the console in the first place. So I don't know when these ratings were started, but the nature of the product implies it's not going to be the easiest is some way or another.

Anyway, "value for my money?" For me personally, 5-stars. It's an exceptional price for doubling my wifi connection speed.

"Material quality" - it's industry standard, no surprises... I would say 5-stars. It's exactly what I expected the material to be when I made the order; that's pretty good to me.

In all seriousness though, it's a standard antenna at a low price and it works and you get two in the package. If you modify any console, use caution because you could accidently damage the hardware and/or violate the terms of the warranty.

If that boat has sailed for you, it's not too tough and once the internals are in place in the PS4, you have an antenna terminal. So if you need to try out a different antenna - easy, just unscrew the old and screen the new on. I've tried it with several different antennas - these are just as good as any others I have around the house.

But, if its a tinker board or something of that sort, this should be incredibly easy and should work just fine. It's a solid product.

Just What Was Needed to Extend the WIFI Range to My Backyard Wyzecam

Bought these Dual Band WIFI Antennas for extending the range between my router and my backyard Wyzecam. I discovered a video on YouTube that showed “How to Extend the Wyzecam WiFi Range” by installing one of these on an external camera enclosure. I had been wanting to do this for several months, but was unsure what would be needed. This video showed me enough to encourage me to buy these antennas and make the modifications.

Through Amazon Prime I quickly received my antenna order, and within a short time I installed one on my camera enclosure. The antennas and connecting cables were exactly what I expected. These antenna specs list them as 6 dbi gain, and from the improved performance I’ve seen I believe this to be accurate.

Since the Wyzecam internal antennas are so small, it’s practically a necessity to modify them with an external antenna like these to get better performance over short distances. I estimate from my router to my backyard Wyzecam is approximately 80 feet, (through several walls and the roof. A recent check of my Device Info Signal Strength showed 70% where it would have been about 49% before. (Note: Antenna modification to Wyzecam voids the warranty). Recommend these antennas.

Works great for ps4 with antenna issues

I used this for a PS4 that was having controller issues. If you tried to play a game and your knees went up, blocking the controller, there would be lag or it wouldn't work at all. So I took a 1/4th drill bit, put a hole in right near where the psu connects on the case, and used this antenna instead. Aim a little lower than I did though, the antenna kinda got in the way when I tried to close it, so I kinda forced it closed. But, the controller is now able to go through cinderblock with this thing. It can also see the wifi fine, but I don't use it, I use an ethernet cord. So I don't know for sure if this improves the range on the wifi myself, but I'm willing to bet that it does. Since the antenna has little nuts with it, you don't have to fuss with glue or anything. All you need is a drill.

They may not be the most powerful antennas in the world, but they're excellent. I'm using an Intel 9260 wifi+BT card on a m.2 to mini-pcie adapter in a mini-pcie to pcie+usb adapter, and these antennas give me a really great range, through two walls with bluetooth around 60 feet until it starts cutting out. No regrets here.
Make sure the connectors will work, I got lucky that the m.2 to mini-pcie adapter also adapted the antenna plugs so I can use either the super tiny m.2 ones, or the larger mini-pcie ones (which these antenna use).
