In Highland Deliverance, Ian Fraser has to enter the castle of Roderick Morgan, the ruthless leader of Clan Morgan, to rescue Quinn, his nephew. On the mission full of danger, Ian finds help when he meets Lady Roslyn, sister of Roderick. As a plan to rescue Quinn is formulated, Ian discovers Lady Roslyn is in need of rescuing herself.
Roderick has no love for her sister and uses her for his own pawn. A simple rescue is never simple. After rejecting the man Roderick has chosen for Roslyn, he has her beaten and thrown in the dungeon. Adding more difficulty to the escape plan of Quinn and Lady Roslyn. After escape, the race to freedom is not easy.
Ian finds himself falling in love with Lady Roslyn, but can their love be strong enough for escape, clan fighting and forgiveness for all Roderick has done?
Bj has again drawn me into her Frasier brother’s world with the story of their cousin Ian and the rescue of Quinn. It was great to see Ian find his way. I highly recommend Highland Deliverance and all other books by Bj Scott.
The only complaint I have with this series is the books are not stand alone...end of one books begins next..not my preferred introduction to a book.
There were parts I really enjoyed and that raised my rating. As other reviewer's have mentioned, while reading certain scenes I was thinking how unrealistic they were. They healed behind being realistic for both of them.
This would be considered very mild on lovemaking - maybe 3 out of 5 heat level if that. There really isn't much of a romance either, because they are either fleeing or trying not to be discovered. They fall madly in love almost instantly too. It was nice to visit with the brother's and
cousin who appear in this book. Love the books on Fraser's brothers - a must read.
This one ends in no cliffhanger, we do get HEA. I would have loved an epilogue in the future to see how they were coping. There really isn't much of Highland fighting so if you like that, this won't be for you. We do get some suspense though.
I am not going into the blurb as many have explained it better than I can, just what you may discover reading it. (ljb)
