I couldn't make sense of need or urgency of Leona having to travel to France to begin with. Especially the fact that she had to go alone.
Then there is the nonsence that the uncle appears to have right to dictate marriage when Leona has living parents and is already betrothed.
Characters are introduced and the just disappear. Injuries happen and the just disappear. Alot just seems to disappear.
I enjoyed the previous installments of this series but this one left me befuddled.
I would not recommend as I see no point.
When Leona leaves Scotland for France she leaves everything and everyone she loves behind, including the man she loves, Conn. Why does she leave? What happens to her on the ship because she is so devastated leaving Conn behind?
What happens to Conn? Does he let Leona go or does he go after her? Do they marry or is she forced to marry someone else? All these questions and more will be answered when you get this wonderful book and read it for yourself to find out everything that happens.
I fell in love with this story and feel you will too, I recommend it wholeheartedly.
