This 1985 release still has not lost it's luster. Even though a lot of 80's music is dated, this one is still ahead of it's time. Steve has put together an album with half pop ,half prog but all greatness. Steve has a way to write great albums. Do not expect any acoustic or classical pieces, as the electric guitar is king on this one. The stand outs are the hard hitting Camino Royal and the two instrumentals, Always Somethiing Else and Group Therapy. What is great about these songs is that he mixes jazz, funk, metal, and prog together. These songs are a free for all jam session for the most part. Any guitar player can appreciate how talented this man is. There is always great guitar solos, constant key changing and rythem changes. The other favorites are the popish Cell 151, and Give It Away.Even Hackett's falsetto voice will turn you off a bit but who cares. You are listening to one of the best guitarists in the world, not the best singer. Highly reccomended to guitar players and progressive rock fanatics.
