I have nano-fish and babies in a couple of my tanks, Celestial Pearl Danios, Emerald Dwarf Rasboras, and baby Mollies. These tend to sink before the large Mollies can eat them all, so I know the little fish hiding in the plants get fed too. I also feed flakes so the big fish are distracted from the tasty pellets. The larger fish like them too, including my panda corydoras and pygmy corydoras.
I recommend you spread them lightly across the whole top of the tank. This will spread the fish out and discourage any fighting over food, which they love.
I have two underwater style filters, one in "gentle" plant mode and one U3 in Venturi mode on the other end that provides oxygen (tested at 5 PPM in a 50 gallon tank) for the fish and CO2 for the plants (and darn algae) and have to turn off the U3 Venturi during feeding or else the food will get pushed to one end.
I love how it semi floats, bright colored, and does not just disintegrate immediately to clog up your filters or like big flakes that start building up on the filter . It falls down slowly in to the water and also because of it's color the fishes can easily spot them on the floor of the aquarium.
This is my go to from now on. This brand definitely have high quality fish foods and know what they are doing.
What's really amazing is that this 1.58 oz of fish food has been the diet for all of these fish in my tank for the last 102 days and there is about 1/3 of a bag left. I feed my fish twice per day, two pinches in at 7:00 AM and 2 pinches at 6:00 PM.
