So happy I got this. I mainly got this because we moved to the lake and where I walk my Stella and Jack you can sometimes come upon a bear or bobcat or a mountain lion or a stray dog or feral cat I got this so that I feel protected and I can protect them

The flashlight still works, however, the stun gun (zapper) no longer works. I bought an extended warranty which was good for 2 years. My understanding is like any other product, if it is defective within 2 years, they would either fix or replace it. WRONG. They offered a refund for the product minus the taxes I paid and minus the extended warranty I paid. That's all you can expect. They did not want to fix or replace it with a new one. They want you to buy it again if you please and of course, buy another extended warranty.

It is a good hiking stick. The flashlight cane in handy on the superior hiking trail. I did not use the tazer on the trail but I felt better knowing that it was there, to at least potentially scare off any animal not resembling a bear, if need be or even a curious approaching unwanted stranger but neither situation presented itself. The tazer sound is intimidating and it appears to give a good jolt but not sure. It is well-made. My biggest criticism would be the cap that covers the tazer tends to take time to fit it in a a manner that it won’t fall off and get lost. It fell off once on a street in Duluth but I luckily found it. I’m thinking of a getting a second one. As of now. I recommend this.

They advertise that this stick can extend to 56" but what they don't tell you is where your hand is to press the zap button and the prongs, are only 19" long. There is no way I am going to attempt to zap a Poisonous Snake 19" away from my hand. Very stupid design and false advertising. What good is having it extend 56" it you can't zap something that distance. I am returning this bad designed POS.

This occurred after; the Return Date Policy .

Otherwise; a Great Product and not happy I must purchase a New "Hike & Strike" .
