It has both flat and lock washers as well as nuts.The Philips heads work with a small screwdriver so no tiny hex key is required. The only length the set doesn't have that I would add is 10mm but 12 mm was what I needed for the stepper.

    I like this set and can foresee many uses for them...IF I can keep up with them. The problem is there is no latch on the box, so I'll have to either keep it taped closed or add a rubber band around it. I doubt the seller when send me the blue latch that I'm assuming this box should have, but if they see this and do I will definitely reconsider my rating.

    Bought the M3 because you can use M3 (x 12mm) screws to replace LP light screws on older Audi / VWs, the factory ones of which are notorious for the head stripping out. You also need stainless due to the outdoor/vehicle environment. The original screws are tapping screws, not machine screws; but, M3 will fit/thread the hole made by the tapping screw and hold with a proper securing force.

    These are also not the hardest of screws though and the heads will *also* strip out but in the case of replacing the aforementioned LP light screws I recommend you drive a screw in and out of the hole a few times, without the light in place, just to cut the thread. Then discard that screw, because it has probably started to strip out already, and use a new screw to actually secure the light. It's unfortunate these were either not harder or made with a different head (like Torx or Robertson) but, is what it is.

    The price really can't be beat as trying to get tiny stainless screws like this is incredibly difficult from stores. If you order online somewhere, sure you're going to pay only like 10-20 cents per screw but you're going to get dinged with a $10+ shipping charge. Much better to get these off Amazon--300 screws for about the same price as just a few elsewhere. They show up at your door the next day and you have a lot you can use later. Even if you sacrifice a few screws as above or drop/lose some, you still have plenty left!

    I've yet to see how well the "stainless" will hold up to salt/winters but only time will tell I suppose. For now they are doing good.
