The Hilitchi Cable Gland is a solid, well-made product. The package of 30 pieces comes in a variety of 5 sizes ranging from very small, to accommodate a cable diameter of 0.31 inches, to the largest size of 0.72 inches. Additionally, the device is made to be waterproof, having a waterproof ring as well as a rubber gasket at the sealing nut.However in my application, the waterproof feature was not a requirement and so I did not test this feature. But from it's construction, I would guess it functions as required. Having a white cable, I ordered white, but the manufacturer offers the identical product in black. Additionally, it is well packaged with each size coming in its own zip bag for storage. So if in your project you have a need to pass a cable through from the outside world to inside an enclosure, this cable gland is tops and highly recommended.

Well these are cheap and you get a lot of them. They are decent, but I wouldn't use them for anything really critical like a submarine or offshore oil well. They are fine for what I wanted them for, junction boxes on a boat that normally are not underwater. This is an extra layer of insurance. I am sure there are some industrial quality milspec ones around for 10 times the price if you need that level of quality.

I used these to weatherproof solar panel wires going into a junction box on top of my rv. That are easy to work with and appear to keep the junction box dry even after heavy rains. They could be more substantial though. And I would like the shank to be longer.
