There are NO instructions and that's where people are getting stuck
*** Hilitchi - I would suggest you include a YouTube showing how to use this properly and your reviews will be 5 stars*** I don't know why you haven't done this.
I'm going to post some photos soon to try help. I have 10 wire multi-conductor cable and it crimped all 10 with 2 mistakes made by by me. You have to follow the following steps (I may do an Instructable).
Your objective is to crimp
a) The insulation
b) The bare wire
Simultaneously
I was using the below kit (Hilitchi 520Pcs 2.5mm)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0188DMF3A/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Its a small connector, so it uses the smallest crimp valley.
For the female side
===============
1. Push the outer pins in with your nails or a pliers so that they are straight
2. Do a test by feeding the wire into the uncrimped connector, make sure the insulation is going to be crimped by the 1st set of wings and does not extend into the wire crimp section, the bare wire should only be crimped by the second set of wings
3. Place the connector into the smallest crimp "U" socket with the wings facing down and the flat part touching the crimp die
4. Feed the wire in so that you can see it come in contact with the connector face (barely)
5. Crimp it hard till you hear it click 2-3 times
That's it you should be able to pull it and it won't come part
6. Feed the crimped connector into the female side so that the little "catcher" goes into the tiny channel and pops out the other side and catches the plastic (so can see this happening if you can't it's in the wrong way round)
7. Done!
Everything worked perfectly when I did this. It is a great tool as far as I can tell.

KITT Eire posted some great instructions and now I'm crimping as good as Honnold. Here's his review:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R33P6EKOV16O8U/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B016B39EPQ
Major takeaways:
1. Straighten the wings with fingers or pliers (they should be perpendicular to the flat bottom of the connector
2. Place the connector upside down in the crimping tool, so that the flat bottom is facing up toward the teeth of the tool
3. Strip just enough wire so that the insulation is grabbed by the first set of wings but not the second set.
4. For the female connectors (that have sort of boxes on the ends), DO NOT CRIMP THE BOX. Additionally, there is a small tab sticking out of the bottom of these boxes, make sure that doesn't get crimped down either.
If the female piece isn't sitting snugly inside the plastic holder, the bottom tab is likely bent down. You can bend it back out very slightly and try again until it sits nicely. It should catch and 'lock' into place as you press it in.
