Since the Japanese Haiku poetic form is my favorite (along with Senryu) kind of poetry I thought this 102 page hardcover book (Hillary Clinton Haiku: her rise to power, syllable by syllable, pantsuit by pantsuit by Vera G. Shaw and illustrated by Emmy Reis) would be an interesting and amusing read. I purchased it on Amazon for a bargain price.
I found many of the haiku clever and unique but thought the haiku would be more humorous and ironic; nevertheless, the haiku is well written following the traditional rule of 5-7-5 syllables. This haiku book is organized into seven areas. Do not pass up the introduction and glossary of terms section. The first section is haiku poems of Lil Hillary. Little Rock Hillary is covered in section two. Section three has haiku on FLOTUS Hillary. Capital Hell Hillary is the focus in section four. Section five has haiku of Secretary Hillary. Pantsuit Hillary poems are in section six. The final section is haiku about hopeful Hillary.
UNFORTUNATELY, since Hillary will probably become the first United States Woman president because the new brain dead majority of voters in America seem to be far far left politically, this book may in time become a Democrat’s collector’s item.
If you are a Hillary Clinton fan you may want to check out this book.

About the Author
Vera G. Shaw was born in the United States, but her soul resides in a Japanese garden. By day, she chops wood and carries water; by night, she weds the complexity of haiku to the simplicity of American politics. A poet of many shifting selves, layered as a lily blooming on a still pond, she lives in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, with two cats named Democracy and Tu-Fu, respectively.
Emmy Reis was born and raised in Japan between her Japanese mother and American father. Following her older sister, who is a fine artist in New York, she moved to the city and graduated from The New School's Parsons School of Design in 2013 with a BFA. Emmy is currently based in New York and Kyoto, running around drawing and painting in her two favorite places on earth.

An interesting and sometimes amusing Haiku book with the focus being Hillary Clinton, who may be our next U. S. President.
