His Custody is a perfect example of how life can change in a matter of moments. How what we thought we wanted can suddenly change, evolve, and grow into something we never imagined we could have. Sometimes to get to the place we're meant to be, we have to go through the worst days of our lives.
This book had almost everything I could want in a book - age gap, forbidden love, damaged hero and heartbroken heroine, every emotion under the sun and then some! The sexual tension was off the charts and when the hero and heroine finally came together it was pure fire! I cannot recommend this book enough!
I am sorry to say nothing happens before she turns 18, but before you all raise your pitchforks at me for saying that, keep in mind this is fiction and I love Keyne and Jasper together so I would not have minded if their relationship had initiated before she turned 18. Sorry, not sorry.
I love a good forbidden love story but you all can rest assured, nothing happens before Keyne turns 18 and Jasper makes sure of it because she’s in his custody after they both lose everyone they loved one night. They are all they have left and Jasper knows full well if he steps out of line there could be dire consequences like losing her for good, and he refuses to take that risk. That more than anything keeps them in line. They don’t want to lose one another despite what they both start to feel over time.
There were times I just wanted them to break the rules and give into one another, but Jasper never did. He became a better man for Keyne and was always there for Keyne when she needed him, but he kept her at a distance because his feelings went from platonic to much more and deep down he knew it was wrong.
That all changed the night she turned 18. That night was the beginning of everything. He let her back in and stopped fighting her. Nothing happened right away but when they FINALLY gave in to one another I was in romance bliss. Those two set my pages on fire with their too hot chemistry and kinky ways and yes I did say kinky. Jasper and Keyne are not of the vanilla variety and love to dabble in BDSM and different sorts of play, so do keep that in mind if that sort of stuff isn’t your cup of tea. ;)
I’m not gonna lie, I was here for their love story. I did not mind the whole kinky aspect. They were made for one another and there are no two people more perfect for each other than Keyne and Jasper. I knew that without a doubt in my heart but Jasper didn’t and boy did he torture me as a result. *sobs* I won’t go into detail as to how he drove me up a wall, but I will say, I think I grew a few gray hairs in the process. lol
I was a nervous wreck towards the end of His Custody. I literally had to keep putting down my copy of His Custody and walking away from the last chunk of the story because it was driving me crazy. I can’t stand it when characters are stubborn. Well, I can, but it frustrates the heck out of me. Lol But I’m happy to report I survived it! *pats myself on the back*
I eventually pushed through it all and am happy to say I loved how Keyne and Jasper’s story came together in the end. It was just what I wanted for them, but I won’t say I got what I wanted without a lot of emotional torture. Parker really pulled me through the wringer with this story, but it was more than worth it.
Overall, I give this story 4.5 stars and would recommend it to all my fellow age gap/taboo romance lovers! This book is right up your alley and I have a feeling you would all love it. ;)

This book is about forbidden love with an under aged Keyne and her dead boyfriend’s brother Jasper being brought together when both their families are killed in a tragic accident. Jasper tries to be good but soon enough his defenses are down and the inevitable happens. I enjoyed their story and their journey to being together although at times it appeared as if it would never happen. The story was interesting and, I felt, quite delicately written. Overall it was a great book and i recommend this as a great read.
I received an arc copy and am voluntarily leaving an honest review
Keyne's life seemed perfect until her world is turned upside down due to an unfortunate tragedy. She has to deal with a lot of pain and anger. In comes sexy Jasper. He may seem rough and growly but he has a big heart and he is all that Keyne has left. Jasper is exactly what she needs to get her life back together. Their chemistry is intense and oozes off the pages.
This a really great age gap romance that is highly entertaining to read.
