Edward Pease has given us a great record of the formation and influence of the Fabian Society. He provides a thorough timeline of events and social issues that the Fabian Society addressed and in the process gained many supporters--George Bernard Shaw and H. G. Wells two of the more well-known celebrities among them. He also gives a list of those in leadership, their duration of service, insight into who the movers and shakers were among them along with their areas of expertise. I found it quite interesting that on multiple occasions the stated goal of the Fabian Society was the redistribution of wealth.
