History of Mathematics by D.E. Smith is an informative, non-fiction book that goes in depth about the history of math in every relevant place and time in the history of the planet. It covers anything from the abacus in Egypt to the seven main operations known in the middle ages, which were numeration, addition, subtraction, duplication, mediation, multiplication, division, progression, and the extraction of roots. Even subjects as advanced as trigonometry and calculus are depicted in ancient times. However, there are passages written in the original languages of ancient mathematicians, such as Latin and Italian, with no translations.
