"Hit Girls is like being punched in the face with awesome. You'll laugh; you won't cry (unless you're a wuss); you'll cringe; you'll feel a little guilty enjoying yourself. I kept saying, "Oh, he's not going to go THERE." But then of course he did, and my faith in humanity slipped a notch. You know - in a good way."- JOHNNY B TRUANT, author of The Bialy Pimps and Fat Vampire
"With a director's eye for action and ear for dialogue, Hit Girls piles one great character moment after the other. Garrett Robinson is a voice to watch."- SEAN PLATT, author of Yesterday's Gone and Unicorn Western --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Some of the action and language is over the top, petal to the metal, extreme. Nikki seems out of control at times but she also thinks outside the box and comes up with ideas when Jessie gets stumped.
Jessie is quite a bit older than Nikki and often takes on the role of a parent to Nikki. But Nikki can be just as protective towards Jessie at times. They work together as a team when the going gets tough but bicker as most siblings do at other times.
I'm looking forward to Hit Girls Season Two.
Robinson adds his own flare to the usual crime story through sub plots and mysteries surrounding Jess and Niki's past, and the demons driving Niki.
The warning label at the beginning of the book is well placed, though I didn't really understand why until I got to the forth book. The first few books are tame in comparison.
Over all, a very enjoyable read, with an ending that leaves you waiting for the next series.
