Also, Barrington places some characters in Ames, Iowa where he has a banker constantly using "Jah" for yes and at times speaking ungrammatically. I am a 73 year resident of Iowa and a 17 year resident of Ames, Iowa and have never heard any Iowan use "Jah" nor any banker speak ungrammatically. Kudos to Woods for placing a bit character somewhere other than Delano, Georgia and for knowing that Ames has a state university (which I attended for 7 years). If only he had spoken to some real Iowans before he attempted to make a character speak like he thought an Iowan might speak. So come on Stuart I know you can do better than this.
Nice surprise at the end which I assume will be continued in the next book. Hopefully, it will be better than Hit List
One question, why does the Police Commissioner with 70,000 Police and Detectives under him, chase a killer for several weeks, but rarely delegate any part of the job to them. Instead he uses a retired detective (who is one of the wealthiest people in the US) to catch a sociopathic murder. Stone gains and loses two new women friends, but...read the book to find out what happens.
