So many things made me hate this film. For starters, the lead girl was a sociopath with complete disregard for life and only cared about herself. After she drunkenly hits another psychotic on the road and discovers him impaled on her front bumper, her initial impulse is not to offer help or assistance, but to run back into the house screaming. Any person with a conscience would immediately try and help.
Later on when she discovers her boyfriends dead body (who btw couldn't act his way out of a paper bag.), instead of thinking "I didn't kill the psycho, and he killed my boyfriend. I should now call the police because he's the murderer and not me." But incredibly, she doesn't call anyone!!
She drives back home to cry instead lol. Once again we see her disregard for human life. Even someone as close to her as her boyfriend! And it extends to pets too. There's a scene where she has 2 parrots in her car, and she purposely crashes her jeep into a tree---twice!! As a bird owner, this was hard to watch. Those poor birds would've been forcefully thrown about the cage and killed during the impacts. Yet in the next scene we see them both alive and well inside their cramped cage. Please. They'd both be dead after that crash. Sick girl she was.
This movie had absolutely no one to root for and I hated that lead girl. I won't spoil for those who haven't seen it, but I was rooting for the psycho to kill her. The ending was only semi satisfying, and speaking of which, she laughs like a deranged sociopath too.
I can only give this 1 star because it was all so silly and devolved more into absurdity as the film progressed. I actually laughed out loud a couple of times where it was clearly not intended to be funny....it was so absurd, you couldn't help but laugh at it. Just a silly, stupid movie.

Editorial Reviews
A night of Spring Break partying turns into a living nightmare for student Mary Murdock (Laura Breckenridge) after she hits a bump on a dark road and returns home to find a man dangling from her car's bumper. When he grabs her as she approaches to help, Mary frantically hits him until his bloody body stops moving. Panicked, she buries him in the secluded woods and returns home to cover her trail. But when it becomes clear that the crazed man is alive and has escaped his grave only for revenge, she stops worrying about evidence and starts worrying about surviving the night. With a vengeful madman following her every move, Mary learns that some accidents are deadly even after they've cleared the road.

The plot is very old (I first saw this plot in Creep show 2 (1987) and I'm sure it's been done before that) which means you would think filmmakers would be able to make it better not worse but...The only way I could possibly, maybe,kind-sorta see someone enjoying this is if(a) they have never seen this plot before (b)are drunk and or high (c) a combination of both. It's a horror film so we expect there to be bad decisions made. There's plenty of that here. None of the characters are especially likable so you never really feel sorry for any of the "victims". Even for a B movie horror film the scenes are implausible and unrealistic. The cinematography itself was decent, the acting was so-so given that the actors worked with what they were given. As of right now, the top Amazon reviewer has given this film 5 stars and said it was the best horror film of 2009. Probably the director of the movie wrote it. The review is also written in all Caps so I didn't take it serious from the start. If you want to waste over an hour of your life, go ahead and watch this film.

OK, I AM WILLING TO GO AGAINST EVERY REVIEW. REMEMBER, THIS WAS DONE IN 2009. FIRST, NOT FOR ANYONE UNDER TWENTY ONE. EVEN IF YOUR TEENS OFFER TO DO THE DISHES FOR A WEEK. TRUST ME, I NEVER MISLEAD MY READERS AND WILL NOT SPOIL THE FILM FOR YOU. SO, AS FREDDIE MERCURY SAID, LET’S DO IT. NINETEEN YEAR OLD WOMAN IS DRINKING IN A BAR, OVER
DOES IT, AND BOYFRIEND BEGS HER TO LET HIM TAKE HER HOME. NO GO. WOMAN SMASHES INTO SOMEONE. DO WE CALL THE POLICE, OF COURSE NOT. UPON ARRIVAL AT HOME, A NOISE IS HEARD IN THE GARAGE. WOMAN GOES DOWN TO CHECK IT OUT. A BODY IS STUCK UNDER THE CAR. WHAT TO DO. WE HIDE THE BODY, STILL ALIVE IN THE FOREST AND BURY IT. I WILL BE CAREFUL NOW. THIS TAKES THIRTY MINUTES. NOW, FOR THE FINAL HOUR, THERE WILL BE A COMBINATION OF .........HILLS HAVE EYES,
TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE, EVIL DEAD, AND YOUR SEVEN ADDITIONAL FAVORITES. THE DENOUEMENT (UNRAVELING) AND
CONCLUSION ARE SO BREATHTAKING IN THEIR MALEVOLENCE THAT I WAS ACTUALLY SQUIRMING IN MY SEAT, AND I AM NOT
A SQUIRMER. I CAN SAY NO MORE AS TOO MANY OF YOU HARD CORE FANS ARE BRILLIANT AND I SAID NO SPOILERS. I NEVER
MISLEAD MY READERS, PLEASE TRUST MY JUDGEMENT. SEE THIS SIZZLING MOVIE.

I was expecting more of a Lifetime type movie not a horror flick. But this film actually raises some ethical questions. Of course what Mary did was irresponsible but she didnt know she did it, then one act of aggression leads to another bad decision and once one finds out the man is alive, are his actions ethical or any more responsible than hers? Not by a long shot. Strange that by close to the end of the movie you are rooting for Mary even after her terrible decisions and actions. The very ending tho...kind of amazing. I am no horror movie lover but this is one I recommend, not a gorefest but very entertaining.

I'm actually embarrassed that I watched the whole thing. The positive reviews must have been written by people involved with the film. The main character, who is pretty much the only person on the screen much of the time is an awful actress. This means that much of the time you'll be watching a terrible actress in a terrible movie. The story has been done much better. I watched this after I watched Tormented, which I found surprisingly enjoyable. Maybe if I hadn't seen a better movie first it wouldn't have seemed so pathetically bad. But I did, and so it did.

If you like a film with virtually no plot, lots of screaming and gore but in which you can't tell what's going on most of the time because so much of it is filmed in darkness with strange camera angles, this is a film for you. Otherwise give it a miss.

Simpatico questo Hit and Run, simpatico davvero
