Great kit that comes with a lot of different attachments for use arts/crafts. I specifically bought this to be used for wood carving.
Can't beat the price for everything that is being offered in this package. Highly recommend this for any beginners!
Came across this Hitachi set, which has not only a lot of pieces, but isn't overloaded with the same piece like other sets which claim XXX amount of pieces and half of that number are extra cutting discs or whatnot. This one has spares, but also a lot of variety.
Quality wise, has been fine, which is to say, rotary tool bits are all very disposable, they aren't expected to last forever.
I wish the case was 50% bigger, so I could put the extra stuff I buy in there, but I know of nobody that offers THAT. I got my first MotoTool in 1967, which my son ruined in 1993 or 1994. It had lotsa bits and burrs, but not much room for a box of cutoff wheels, or diamond burrs. The greart thing about MotoTools is that it has all those bits and burrs for jobs you couldn't forecast.
I just bought a variable-speed MotoTool that has things like a router head, etc., but not many bits and burrs, so this will really come in handy. But instead of one case, like I used to have, now I have two, and some other stuff as well.
Maybe I could get a big block of stuff and carve the case i need to hold everything. You can do ANYTHING with a Moto-Tool.
Pros: inexpensive, sturdy, many attachments
Cons: screw for sanding disc is a little bulky and gets in the way, plastic brush melted at medium speed, does not include cutting bits (includes the discs, but not the kind that look like drill bits and can cut drywall.)
My only complaint
they aren't as good as teh Dremel attachments, i have broken a couple of them, but they are cheap so it's not a big deal, when i get more i will probably just pay the extra and get dremel
