Hitachi NP35A 1-3/8 inch 23-gauge Pin Nailer
Uses & Applications
The NP35A Pin Nailer from Hitachi is ideal for a professional woodworker, homeowner or craftsperson that needs a small fastener that is nearly invisible. It is ideal for trim work, molding, cabinetry details, paneling, glazed bead, assembling picture frames or even tacking things together while glue sets- basically any fine finish application where you want to avoid spending time filling nail holes with putty and avoid splitting delicate pieces of material.
No Mar Tips
Speaking of no-mar tips, this pin nailer comes with two! One stores on the nailer for added convenience at the base of the handle and one is installed on the tool from the factory. The tips protect delicate wood material, even soft woods from denting, marring or scratching when the nailer is in use. Additionally, a large plastic housing shield wraps around the body of the pin nailer to protect from the metal nailer accidentally hitting the work piece and causing an unintended mark.
Adjusting the depth the pins will drive into varying materials (from soft woods to the hardest, most exotic woods) is possible with the supplied hex bar wrench that stores on the side of the magazine. Simply remove the wrench, loosen the two screws at the front of the nailer, move the plate up or down to adjust the pin depth for a professional finish. Remember, to adjust the depth keeping in mind that the use of the no mar tip can also change your depth. Also, the PSI pressure (65-100 PSI range) should be adjusted to accommodate for the density of the material being used to help drive the pin to the exact depth desired.
A convenient reload indicator is available on the magazine and shows orange for easy visual recognition of low nail quantity to avoid dry firing situations. It accepts 23-Gauge headless pins, so once driven below the material surface they are hard to see. The NP35A accepts 5/8, ¾, 1, 1-3/16 and 1-3/8 inches pins to tackle a wide range of products. The magazine can hold up to 100 pins allowing for fewer reloads and less downtime.
Designed with the exhaust portal at the rear, this prevents any excess oil, dirt or debris expelled from the nailer from hitting the user or the work surface during use.
