Written by Terigi Ciccone, A Hitchhiker’s Journey Through Climate Change is an eye-opener for the general public, particularly the victims of climate change social wars. This book takes its reader on a climate change journey while pointing out all the myths and opinions of the “end-of-the-world prophets” related to it. While focusing on the truth that lies hidden under the climate change propaganda, the author imparts his viewpoints that are fully backed up by scientific evidence. The cheerful illustrations, engaging activities, and accurate charts and figures make it simpler as well as interesting for young readers. This book effortlessly transmits the hidden history of climate change. While sharing the opinions of those who believe that global warming is round the corner, the writer shares his insight on the matter, which is in complete contrast with the prevalent belief. The speaker further describes not only its harmful effects but also how it damages the lifestyle of the scientifically unsophisticated public. This book attempts to answer the fundamental queries related to climate change while simultaneously shedding light on the political schemes of the higher authorities. As the journey proceeds, readers get a better understanding of the truth, which further enables them to draw their own conclusion and do not blindly believe everything they are told.

Anyone curious about climate, alternative energy will love this book.

The author uses a comfortable best friends talking approach that really works. Expect a fact filled no holds barred updating of climate science, you choose the pace. Delivered with humor, passion and a front lines, been there, reporting style. He leaves us with 100’s of good next steps.

Prepare yourself billions spent on bleeding edge tech these last 20 years sadly failed. We learned a lot about sustainability, in energy grid speak wind and solar can’t help. Thankfully clean natural gas and next generation nuclear are inexpensive, ready to take us to 6 billion hookups (half the world are middle class, connected - Brookings).

Why 30 years of shouting? Why “The Sky is Falling” drama??? Those and other secrets are revealed within…

Imagine studies proving the sun responsible for 95% of our warming and cooling. Not at all crazy logically it follows. We know it warms our face. The book details a surprising variety of ways. It’s the sun, sun, sun, sun.

Imagine Earths geologic history showed definitively temperature moves first then CO2, 4.5 billion years of it. They are highly correlated; but CO2 levels follow not lead. Worried about manmade CO2? Earth CO2 levels have been both much higher and lower. It’s proved safe for humans up to 20,000 ppm. It’s 420 ppm now.

Imagine humans not responsible for bad weather. 100’s of studies sited, easily searchable, prove all those claims bunk. Extreme weather both rates and severity are no different than historical, not a one. We humans are forever looking to tie random Mother Nature to something bigger. 1,000’s of weather gods came before science rescued us.

Imagine a planet where CO2 levels are harmless. We know CO2 is essential for plants and healthy plants critical for us humans. More CO2 might be better. Until 1988 this was true. Let’s test that.

Curious about climate science or know someone who is buy this book. Clear your own mind.

Many serious scientists have learned (often by getting fired) that it's not okay to criticize the UN and its climate prophecies. Then they write books that are hard to understand, because although they are correct, they are too technical for lay people. In this book, Terigi Ciccione takes you on a journey in plain english to understand how the climate system works, why the sky is not falling, why CO2 is not pollution (it's coming out of your nose right now!), and why renewables are not the answer, and why fossil fuels are cleaner and better for the planet (and humanity) than all the alternatives except nuclear, which is of course the future. Buy this book and give it to someone who doesn't have much time and needs to understand that although many people prefer the alarmist story, the future actually looks very bright and comfortable.

Really like this book, an alternative to all the media stance on this issue. Nothing wrong with recycling, conservation, ..., but research requires work. I have seen companies 'ambulance chasing' government money in other agencies, right, or wrong, it's human nature. Unless the topic is trivial, starting off with Google or other internet search engines on a topic is just a very weak start. Real research involves LOTS of work. Researching a topic involves: mining technical articles (and getting access to them), published year, repeat of findings, considering outliers, and who is funding the research/grants, just to get started. This book reminded me of how hard it is to get true information/facts on subjects heavily influenced by celebrities and the media.

there is plenty legitimate science that disputes much of the hype. this is not political to me. this book and others seem to make more sense of it than what the computer models are saying.

As noted by others, this is not science. It's possible to make a graph out of anything, but this author takes junk science to another level, combining apples and oranges, monkey wrenches and feathers, and other non-comparables, and tries to show cause and effect. He also drags up every silly conspiracy theory, especially the ones about how climate scientists have some secret agreement to keep their funding by promulgating false science, as if any would hope for the crisis we find ourselves facing. He has relentlessly attempted to put across his nonsense on some real science websites, where his every attempt has been thoroughly dismantled and demolished by real climate scientists. But apparently the author is immune to rational, scientific argument, instead dragging up every kind of worn-out and disproven junk. Reminds me of the tobacco-funded "science" of the '60's and '70's, when the hacking and coughing and emphysema and lung cancer and throat cancer were dismissed as coincidence or an evil attempt to undermine freedom or wreck the tobacco states' economies. Get your climate science by people who actually study the weather and climate, not from this huckster.

Right away from the introduction and the first chapter, it becomes clear, this is an unusually interesting and useful book about climate. A book which will do a lot of good. It can help make things clear for those interested in understanding what's actually happening with the earth's climate, and why.

The authors have a deep and wide knowledge on the subject, and in addition to being a great read, the book could have regular use as a reference book as well. Whenever something comes up in the news, this book can make the accurate climate science clear about that news.

It's like two books for one: great reading, and also a sort of encyclopedia of clear accurate knowledge about climate. The answers we've been waiting for. A Five Star book.

If you want to see how awful the science is in this book, go to the AAAS Member Forums, where the author has spammed most threads. The REAL scientists there have completely demolished this book. The author make completely unsupported statements and assumptions about climate science. My undergrad non-major students know more about climate science.

This book goes into great detail on a far roaming basis, but although the beginning was attention catching, the author's argument became less persuasive to me as he went along. Since starting to read the book I have also seen other evidence relating to some of the author's assertions, leading to different conclusions. Eventually however I gave up following the narrative altogether and failed to complete my reading of the book.
