Henry Steven's book is not free of typos, but makes up for it with other elements that continue to elude many still fascinated with telling the saga of WW2 through the eyes of the victors that leave out details that Mr. Stevens' book fills in that tell more about the Nazi super-weapons.

"Hitler's Flying Saucers: A Guide to German Flying Discs of the Second World War" is a very worthwhile read. If you don't already know about the reality of the German flying disks you will probably be surprised by the overwhelming amount of data presented in this book documenting these disks. These include actual photos of the people who invented and worked on various flying disks, pictures and diagrams of the disks themselves, official patents, photocopies of actual news articles reporting eye witness sightings of the German disks, declassified government documents confirming the German disks and much more. The book also reports on what it calls "lore" - setting such aside in its own section of the book. In the main, this makes it easy to distinguish the rumor and speculation from the documented facts generally found in the rest of the book. In those cases where speculations are brought into the discussion in sections of the book not under the heading of "lure" they are clearly identified as such. If you've already researched this subject of German disks, as I have, then the book will still prove helpful by separating and categorizing the various disk projects according to who worked on each project, and the design elements and principles involved with each project, to give you a workable overview of the development of the Nazi saucers. You will also find out that the German saucers ended up in the USA along with the Nazi scientists who created them. Shortly after that, "UFO" sightings of "flying saucers" began in the USA. This book was an excellent source of research material for my Tsiyon Radio program, "Flying Saucers a Sign? #238", showing how some flying saucers work, and that they are definitely man-made technology. While the content of the book is excellent I withheld one star because I found the layout and font-face hard to read. I still read it though, which gives added force to the remaining four stars.

I really enjoyed reading this thought provoking about a subject I knew little about but had heard rumours. The book is well researched for a book of its type and does quote some sources which is good. However, the amount of misspelled words and typos is an outrage and marred the work. In particular, towards the end of the book the misspellings are numerous. I would give it five stars but the misspellings are disgusting and I will only give it four stars. I do recomend this book since it is so much better than those of its type which are usually trash. I liked this book so much that I have just ordered the author's latest book, "Dark Star." If you have an interest in this unusual subject, buy this book! It is fun and thought provoking! And if the author or publisher reads this review, please fix the misspellings and typos!!!

This work filled a much needed void in the area of UFO research. The existence of flying disc prototypes and other high tech aircraft in the arsenal in the Reich has always been a subject of debate. Is it possible that UFO sightings in the last century are connected to this research?
Mr. Stevens presents a well documented case for the theory that UFO sightings may have a basis in human, and not extraterrestrial, technology. The airframe and propulsion designs are covered in great detail. He also goes into great detail discussing post-war research by other governments.
The discussion of alternative energy propulsion systems is also intriguing.
A valuable addition to any UFO library or history buff's collection.

A difficuilt book to review.
On one hand the method appears to have some merit ( as far as it goes ) but on the other there is a great deal of speculation and discussion of next generation nazi-occult-oriented physics in the second half that the lay reader is apt to be left behind or ( worse ) accept blindly the assertions made.
The cover photographs appear too good to be true ( so are they ? )- if genuine ( how can they be verified, where does the evidence come from ? ) they are of fundamental interest to 'the myth' enthusiasts.
This typifies much of what I feel about the book - a very interesting read to the interested but do remember that hearsay is a different animal to proof.
Overall I enjoyed reading the book a lot but I am unsure that I can go along with a great deal of what is asserted - prove it I cry !
AND THEREIN LIES THE PROBLEM.
