Finally got my code to to work (almost everyone who pre-ordered via Amazon had issues). Amazon contacted me and gave me a small credit to a future purchase and all is well. I would be angry had I taken the day off to get my nerd on, but I am fine with playing the game the next day as I have a lot of games in the back catalogue to get through (looking at you Gears of War Anniversary and Mad Max...). Got it for the PS4 over the XBox One for the exclusive content that the PS4 is going to have. I am not biased to one system over the other. My advice is get a game for the system that gives you the most bang for your buck. In this case, that is the PS4.

So, anyway, the game downloaded in about 20 minutes (roughly a little over 8 gig). Booted it up and played the first several missions. Please keep in mind you are getting about 3 or so missions at launch and more will be provided via download content (all paid for if you buy the full experience like I did) over the course of the next several months. Some folks hate this, I personally don't mind. Makes it more like a 'real' experience, the game being your handler and it sending you 'hits' every month or so. Use your imagination to make that fun.

The game play is very smooth. My only issue is that when using machine guns your aim is all over the place. But, then again, this is a Hitman game, why in the world I am using a machine gun? Anyway, I decided to go full Rambo and the results were not good. So, I played the game the way it was meant to be, as a stealth game. I will tell you, its f#$#$ing fun. There are numerous ways to kill your targets and challenges as well. One could replay the first few mission numerous times and not get bored. There is a bit of an adrenaline rush when you kill your target and then have to calmly walk out of the location.

Couple of minor issues. I did somehow get stuck in the floor after dragging and killing a guy, but if not the standard but the exception. I haven't noticed too many frame rate drops at all unless the map gets really crowded. Reguardless, the game is smooth and well worth playing. I am happy that the content will flow over the next few months as I have a tendacy of blowing through a game and not really appreciating the story, so this is good. If you want a disc for the Hitman experience I think you are waiting until January 2017. But all things considered, this a fun game and a return to form for the series

I didn't bother to read the negatives. This game is for fans of the series, the devs built on the Absolution engine (which streamlined the gameplay but made the series a bit more casual) and created much larger, more detailed maps with morw intelligent A.I.

There are 6 stages, but when you consider the depth of each stage it's really like 12 Absolution stages, or 12 of any other stealth game besides MGS. Unlike Absolution, if you go Rambo in this one, you're getting your ass kicked. I was delighted that the devs made this game more difficult for returning fans and stealth game lovers. If you're new to stealth games, this is an excellent introduction - you'll breeze through more casual games (like Dishonored 2) after taking on this one

If you don't like stealth or have never tried the series, you should pick up Absolution if you have a previous era console. The story for this one is watered down compared to the previous installment, but I actually welcome that because this game is more about the gameplay -and it isn't a one and done game so the story is going to progress more slowly anyway.

Graphics are impressive, as a fan of the series this was a delight for me, the devs really brought the game to life for me when I walked around a village in Italy on a bright sunny day (I'm italian).

As long as the devs continue to improve the graphics, make the AI more intelligent, expand the stages, and maybe put some more jalepenos in the upcoming story for season 2, I think this series will take off for stealth fans and fans of the series.

Edit: If your internet connection sucks, yes this will take a while to download. Mine is terrible and it took 4 hours, but it should really take 1-2 otherwise you need a new router. The game is slow the first day but becomes smoother once the console becomes more familiar with the software. Nothing to complain about.

Well I bought this game 2 months ago and the server is still working fine. No issues or whatever. My only complaint is that saving/loading takes a little too slow. But it won't stop me from playing the game.

Update: I've just come back here reading some ignorant negative reviews. I saw some of you complaining about the levels being "too huge" and "LESS LINEAR" or "CAN'T RUN AROUND SHOOTING PEOPLE". Those are so pathetic!!! Well if you play the game that way, you are playing Hitman wrong! The game is supposed to be a stealth game, in which you have to be patient and use your BRAIN to figure it out how to take down the target. If you want Run n Gun, play Call of Duty!!! This game is too complicated for you.

Those who complained about the game being too short: you must have played it wrong. You must have had the Opportunity turned on - killed the targets - completed the level - then never came back again. If you played that way, then this game might not be for you.

* The feature called "Opportunity" can ruin the experience, but it can be a guidance for new players who never played Hitman before. It can be turned off, and I'm pretty sure playing with it turned off will make the game much better.

This really is a great game. It forces you to think strategically and watch a domino effect with your choices. And you'll make the same ones, or slightly different ones over and over again. One step to the left and your timing may be off for your next move. It's a really good, challenging, first person shooter with a bit of RPG in it.

The one thing that really bothers me is that you can only play a handful of levels and then if you want to play an additional two or three, you have to buy them and spend almost half the game price. I don't find that acceptable, hence the four stars.

Beyond that, it's a game that you'll find yourself going back to time and again, as the possibilities to conclude a level really are limitless and full of little next-to-real-life nuances.

The order was ok but not as description picture . U see it says stealbook edition in picture . This is what i thought I was getting but no just normal edition. Very disappointed but got the game at least just not version I wanted or thought I ordered. Seller shouldn't be allowed to give false information or advertising.

Excellent game with so much variety. You can dictate how each mission goes and with open landscapes it's enough to play time and time again.
