The world's top protection agent (Ryan Reynolds) is called upon to guard the life of his mortal enemy, one of the world's most notorious hit men (Samuel L. Jackson). The relentless bodyguard and manipulative assassin have been on the opposite end of the bullet for years, and are thrown together for a wildly outrageous 24 hours. During their raucous and hilarious adventure from England to the Hague, they encounter high-speed car chases, outlandish boat escapades, and a merciless Eastern European dictator (Gary Oldman) who is out for blood. Salma Hayek joins the mayhem as Jackson's equally notorious wife.

I loved the movie, it was exactly what I was expecting from the cast: a reasonable action comedy with plenty of action scenes. The characters grow during the course of the movie (Reynold's character in particular), and there is a plausible (for an action flick) ending. Not much more you could ask for, here.
Its an action flick. If you don't like action flicks, you won't like it.
Its a Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson movie. If curses get you in a tizzy, don't watch it.
Its got comedy. If silly slapstick comedy bothers you, you won't enjoy it.
For normal people its a cheesy popcorn flick to take the edge of the average workday, totally worth a rent.
This one had great action sequences combined with a surprisingly deep moral about the righteousness of making a living from killing those who deserve it, over protecting known wrong-doers for a paycheck and status. Was not expecting this movie to have a brain or a lesson!
The Reynolds and Jackson characters are essentially enemies who learn to trust one another. That much I anticipated when it was quickly established that they had a less-than-friendly past. But the way in which they came to show that they care about one another was not cheap, forced, or a convenient plot device as I thought it might be.
I didn't know what to think going into this movie and didn't set my sights too high, but ended up really really liking it.
That's this film. It's a fun, turn your brain off for a while, buddy road trip romp that has me laughing as only Ryan Reynods and Samuel L. Jackson can do! Does it have some severe violence? Yep! Does it earn is R rating? Yep again, but I think thats the F bombs/language more than the bullet hits, which there's plenty of both! It's just a fun movie that brings a smile to my face when the opposites in this movie play off each other.
