The thick grid can bear the weight better and is not easy to break. The 6 support feet combined with 3 cross bars strengthen the stability and make it won’t tilt and spill.

These are not stainless steel!!!!!

Zero stars if I could rate it that. This is false advertising. These are not solid stainless steel. They are just chome (or some other material) plated. Rusting after just a few uses. I'll be contacting Amazon.

Edit: Since buying these I've found that there are different kinds of stainless steel. Some kinds rust and some don't, but everyone assumes that no stainless steel will rust. Don't assume anything. These are the type of stainless that will rust.

Rusted Immediately in Dishwasher

I bought these because of the high ratings and because they're advertised as dishwasher safe. As some others said, they're not stainless steel, just plated with something. I put them in the dishwasher upon receiving them (one in the top and one in the bottom). Upon opening the dishwasher after the cycle, there was rusty water everywhere. I took a close look at the racks, and the coating had rubbed off on multiple places of both cooling racks. So they're not stainless steel, and they're not dishwasher safe.

With the social distancing, we have been forced to eat in every single meal. As I have been unwilling to spend that much time in the kitchen, the oven has become my bestie, interacting almost every day.
These racks are superb: really sturdy and well-made, but most importantly they work as charm. I have been using it for salt brining in the fridge, cooking large pieces of meet or air-frying chicken (in the oven), as well as a cooling rack for bake goods.
Highly recommended!

To clean it, you may want to moisten it for a bit and then you a brush. It is really simple to clean and that is why I keep using them every time.

So over 2 years ago I bought 2 what are called 1/2 ~ sheet pans as I wanted larger "sided cookie sheets" that I inherited from my grandmother . Watching the food shows on those cooking channels I came to understand my new pans weren't living up to their potential. I needed wire grids to lift foods off the pan's bottom so as not to cook in their own grease,,,cool baked goods without developing soggy bottoms and all the other reasons as shown on those TV shows..I couldn't be more pleased than these wire grid inserts as shown here. They fit the pans perfectly. Oh, and they arrived in lickey-split time !
